Avoiding the dead bird app.
Sounds about as useless as the unsolicited AI response I got from Google when checking bus times from my village to town last spring. A bus service that's since been scrapped, unfortunately. Life does seem to be going backwards.

The Japanese tea garden at NT Kingston Lacy earlier this week. A kind lady took our picture nearby, capturing my daughter giving a serious eye roll while standing between her two mums 😂

If you see this, post an image you saved because it made you laugh

Friday night is homemade pizza night, and as long as I disregard major geopolitical events, the only thing currently going wrong in my life is my big toenail. After 18 months of stress and difficulties in our family. Time to take a breath.

In our case, the constant challenge and hard work paid off.

This was sent home from school with her at the start of lockdown in Year 3.

She's now working on age-appropriate curriculum content going into Year 9.

But what happens to all the other children like her?

Someone with too much time on their hands. Maybe waiting for a stubborn dog to decide he would continue with his walk?

What we've all been waiting for: M&S's home collection now includes nipple covers, presumably for your sofa....

The telegraph wire now has a female yellow wagtail, a male and a yellowhammer.

I'd never seen a yellow wagtail until 2023, in the adjacent field, and I'm so pleased to see them again, showing so well.

Whitethroat, Skylark and Linnet also around.

Gosh, BBC, I've really no idea. Do enlighten me.

I can't imagine why companies don't want their brand associated with a megalomaniac who does Nazi salutes in front of a global audience.

FFS.... it's not personal, it's been 3 years without exercise, such is my life 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just a Tuesday night, doing a spot of Christmas present wrapping.

Do I get a prize? Most disorganised person of the month? Sadly, yes, it is 1 month late, not 11 months early.

There's an obvious solution to both these beverage crises.

Someone needs to create Guinness-flavoured tea and market it to young people, thereby saving the UK's hospitality industry.

The BBC has now changed the headline.

Looks like someone noticed the 'secret UK location' had accidentally been revealed.
December 8, 2024 at 8:02 PM
Somewhere in the UK.

But where could it possibly be?
December 8, 2024 at 4:35 PM
Out of idle curiosity, I was looking up the current weather earlier, in places I've visited.

Are these temperatures normal for Zermatt? I've only ever been in the summer, and I know winters can be cold, obviously, but minus 20°C in the daytime?

One public service that's running smoothly, for a price: passport renewals.

I did my application on Friday, uploading my own photo, using the standard service. Returned my old passport later day.

Look what turned up this afternoon, three working days later! And a snip at.....£88.50 😭

Loved this in the NHS walk-in centre last week.

In honour of teenage me, and her unsuccessful weekly quest to locate a book with even the vaguest lesbian storyline in the libraries of suburban Hampshire, I just had to buy one. A bargain at £1.99.

I'm interrupting your very serious Blue-sky feed to bring you some important news:

LESBIAN ROMANCE IN THE ALDI MIDDLE AISLE!

Teenage me would have been beside herself with excitement had this happened in Asda in the 90s.
September 25, 2024 at 6:49 PM
If we're going back to 90s, I'd rather see Avril than Oasis any day.

The best night of 2024 so far and practically on our doorstep.

My daughter uses an iPad to speak, but sometimes prefers a printed letterboard.

This is the first one ever to go through the wash. And it survived!

Robust augmentative and alternative communication = 26 letters, so the person can say whatever they want. Washability is a bonus!

Yesterday's visit to the Relaxed Morning at the Golden Hinde.

First trip down to London as a family for five years.

Very grateful to www.autisminmuseums.com events directory for finding out about this. And the dead bird app, which is where I first came across it.
