🚨US job cuts are SKYROCKETING:

US firms announced 154,600 job cuts, according to Macroedge tracker, the highest count in at least 2 YEARS.

This is a +84% jump from the 84,000 recorded in September.

The US labor market is deteriorating FAST.👇
⚠️The US labor market is in a recession
The job reports for September and October have not been released due to the government shutdown, but private data show a grim picture of the labor market.

Make no mistake, Vance and Thiel want to eliminate immigrants and subjugate white Americans into becoming their low wage servants.

"A guy" (known child sex trafficker) "emailing a reporter" (at the most important newspaper in the world, about a presidential candidate's ties to himself, a known child sex trafficker) about "old girlfriends" (underage girls they trafficked) is not "a whole news story" (yes it is.)
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.

i'd give 3:1 odds on the trump administration just straight-up using tariff revenues as a slush fund to pay for things outside the appropriations process

I wonder if the United States can learn anything from the last time a major industrialized country decided to isolate itself from the rest of the world?

Almost a decade after the Brexit vote, GDP in the UK is around 6-8% lower relative to peer countries. (Source: www.nber.org/papers/w34459)

The end of the shutdown should be pulling gold prices down because it reduces odds of recession and pushes real rates up. That isn't happening. Gold prices are rising again on headlines the shutdown will soon be over. This should give all those debt aficionados - especially across Europe - pause...

This is fair criticism. I mean, look at us.
I don't think democrats are going to pay for this electorally at all, that would require a public who is smart enough to not elect Trump lol

Call the United States Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and they will connect you with your senator's office.

If you're represented by one of the squishier centrists, be sure to make a call. Now.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.
