Impossible how good reading is. You mean I just point my face at the paper for a bit and it does a whole update on my brain?

Erik Alarcon, whose uncle and cousin were detained in Tuesday's operation, says the family had planned to gather for Thanksgiving next week. Now, they’re trying to figure out where their relatives were taken and whether they can contact them.

More than 24 hours later and no comment from our governor on the federal agents that violently escalated things in his capital city yesterday.

Legal witnesses run down with cars, chemical agents sprayed at people. Multiple injuries.

I see. I see.

If you were in St Paul today, thank you.

We need more observers. There’s a thin line between protesting and observing. You don’t have to be on the front line!

If you see staging activity, call a response hotline! Describe what you see.

Resources and upcoming trainings here.
Hey twin cities friends!

There’s a new website for the Mn Rapid Response network, now called Monarca.

It has the hotline to call if you see 🧊 activity as well as Know Your Rights information and lists upcoming community trainings.

A great resource. Please share widely!

Hi Minnesotan Bluesky:

The DFL has a well-known transphobia problem. I'm organizing to change the party platform in 2026 to be explicitly supportive of trans people in Minnesota. This will provide a basis for expelling transphobia from our party.

Three attendees in a row at the DFL listening session have stood to speak about feeling abandoned by a party that throws around “leftists” as a pejorative and overturned the will of the convention delegates with a smug sense of superiority and certainty that party activists will turn out again

You probably saw videos of a nighttime raid in Chicago. Agents rappelling from a helicopter, bursting down doors, questioning brown-skinned immigrants.

We investigated -- and found little evidence to support the government’s claims about Tren de Aragua.

BREAKING: At Pope Leo XIV’s urging, U.S. Catholic bishops just delivered the strongest rebuke of a sitting president in Church history — condemning Trump-Vance raids as “inhumane” and “dehumanizing” in a 216–5 vote.
NEW: At Pope Leo’s Urging, Bishops Issue Historic Rebuke of Trump’s Raids
Nearly all U.S. Catholic bishops united in Baltimore to denounce the Trump administration’s “inhumane” deportation campaign — a near-unanimous, unprecedented moral stand against a sitting president.

No home for ICE and CBP in Saint Paul.
From a St Paul Dept of Safety and Inspections email: construction permit for a new $11m CBP building construction permit at 670 Bayfield Street next to the downtown StP airport. Note location right near the runways. "Great" place to deport from! @mollycoleman.bsky.social @melvincarter.bsky.social

This effort will need volunteers *statewide* so if you're not in the metro, please join up! We need people from all corners of the state to build this movement. We need the DFL to be a safe space for trans people, and that means stepping up and pushing them to change.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

Tonight was the inaugural ride of our new home buyout program. We connect with vendors too scared to be out, and we purchase from them at home. Tonight we bought 250 tamales, divided into 3 teams to deliver all over the city to folks on the street, Love Fridges, and a youth shelter.

I hope through my husband's campaign for Mayor, our city got to see the sides of him that inspire me. I wanted you to be inspired to become the City our residents so desperately need.
I hope that in response to his vision for #Minneapolis, you step up in serve one another in a new way.
When I started this campaign, I made a commitment to myself and to the people of this city that I would run with the values we share: honesty, integrity, transparency and care. I’m proud of the campaign that we’ve run, and I’m so thankful everyone who has held me to those values.
