There are local groups and new formations working right now to bring universal childcare to life in NY. If this is an issue that moves you, join in.

This is a good read. The last time I shopped at a Sears the clerk ringing me up spent more time trying to sell me on a credit card than actually taking my money. The shelves were poorly stocked, the merchandise was wildly marked up, the brands were kindof bad, and the interior design was crumbling.
Sears had more than 3,400 stores in 2005 -- then it was purchased by a hedge fund magnate.

to win this fight, we cannot limit ourselves to arguments based on competency or efficiency. we should attack incompetence where we see it, ofc, but we must be militant in arguing - ad nauseam - that the roots of this dysfunction & collapse are moral and spiritual. to do good, we must be better

we are living thorough 10 years of moral collapse. it’s happening everywhere but is concentrated in the US. we have given up on even trying to argue that there must be more to life, both individually and collectively, than bare materialism and power. we must rededicate ourselves to meaningful life.

271,000 people have lost their jobs and federal spending has ctually increased. So people get less services, while we added debt paying for private jets for Kristi Noem, bulletproof cars for Kash Patel. This is what the rust belt voters demanded.

A warning from the lawyer representing the unjustly fired Oklahoma TA! Beware of GFM scams: her client is NOT crowdfunding at this time.
Please be aware of possible scams! My client, Mel Curth, is not seeking any donations at this time. She is grateful for your support and instead requests folks that want to help to donate to the local organizations of your choice!

Bill Irwin's Polyphemus is going to be epic like Kathryn Hunter in the Coen Scottish play was epic. So so excited to see him embody a giant cyclops. There's going to be pathos for days.

We saved 3K at least this year in gas after switching to EV. Even if I didn't get free charging at work the net savings would be about 2500. No one is going to unring this bell.
It's funny how us parochial Americans generally seem to perceive that the EV revolution is stalling or reversing when in fact it's accelerating rapidly worldwide. 25% of cars sold globally in 2025 were EVs!

It's mostly just the US that's being left behind
