Then my friend Kathleen texted us to let us know the Northern Lights were out, so I finally crossed that off my bucket list.

in all I had the orange & ginger boiling in apple cider for maybe 4 minutes before I shut it off and covered it. I muddled the orange wedges midway through the boil. I used 1 cinnamon stick and a pinch of old ground nutmeg. Strained into a mug, squeezed the oranges out, and kept the cinnamon stick.

Its great but it posts weird hours. Also right off the Oak Park blue line. Vals Halla is imo the superior back catalog but Oak Park records has better new discs. Val’s has a pie shop and a publican bakery nearby. Oak Park has more sit down restaurants and a bookstore nearby.
