Sanctuary policies are legal. The Supreme Court has been clear for decades that the federal government cannot commandeer state or local governments to enforce federal immigration law. This isn’t “playing with fire.” It’s constitutional law.

Pension system is ‘dysfunctional’ and exacerbating gender inequality, Women’s Budget Group tells MPs
Increasing the State Pension age without addressing women’s caring responsibilities and unequal access to private pensions risks deepening gender inequality and pensioner poverty, the Women’s Budget Group (WBG) warned MPs today. Giving evidence to the House of Commons Work and Pensions Committee ahead of the scheduled increase in the State Pension age in April, Dr Daniella Jenkins, incoming Director of the Women’s Budget Group, cautioned that the current pensions system is dysfunctional because it does not work for the majority of pensioners, who are women.

Don’t pay any attention to a Finditoutnow poll which shows Reform winning in the Gorton & Denton byelection.

The sample is just 143 people and the top three are blurred into margin of error.

Possibly the main reason why the people ignoring Trump's depravity are as dangerous as the ones excusing or actively supporting is that he wil clearly start a war to avoid scrutiny of anything from ICE to Epstein if he thinks he will get away with it.

Well here are 14 things they have done TODAY!

How many can you say other parties even have the first clue about?

1. Upgrades to more grass roots sports facilities

2. 450,000 disadvantaged students to be supported by new AI tutoring tools

Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him.

I understand Labour faces a largely hostile media environment, but its inability to make a big splash with genuinely positive news remains unfathomable. Like the Warm Homes Plan last week, this will make a big difference to the finances and lives of hundreds of thousands of people.

Friends, please do not follow the US down the path of fascism. Take to the streets to protest fascist policies before they are implemented.
The UK version of “Project 2025” by the Reform party includes a British ICE, a concentration camp for 24,000 people, mass surveillance and withdrawing from refugee, anti-torture and anti-trafficking conventions.

It’s on their website. That’s how comfortable fascists are in the UK today.

One thing that shows you how bad ICE’s tactics are — ACTUAL cops are among the most vocal and biting in criticizing them.
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara: "People have had enough. This is the third shooting in less than 3 weeks. The MPD went the entire year last year recovering about 900 guns from the street, arresting hundreds of violent offenders, and we didn't shoot anyone ... this is not sustainable."

Scalise lies: "The want to defund ICE. They defunded police. The police chief of Mpls said yesterday multiple times how stretched thin his department is. They don't have enough people because Mpls defunded the police." (Police were not defunded and MPD is stretched thin bc of unrest caused by ICE)
