Everything about the young guys at DOGE is reminding me of the time that I, as a middle school/high schooler, was tasked with cleaning up the family computer, deleted a bunch of nonsense looking files, and then the family computer stopped working.

I’m a part time librarian and I just want to echo what I’ve seen other librarians say recently: there is a HUGE uptick in requests for social justice, climate justice, abolition, history, etc books and I just want to say nobody is giving up the fight. If anything people are fighting harder #library

I think we can get strong and learn how to defend ourselves while simultaneously working at community building. Yes we need all of those things. But I do see people I know working out hardcore but they don't join shit.
Resistance is not performance. It is actual, quiet, non-self-congratulating-on-social-media, work to keep people TF alive.
(PS. Privileged white women are exhausting. No one is asking you to punch Nazis. We’re asking you to get your hands dirty and make sure people are safe, fed and housed.)

Organize in your community. Take care of people. Do the hard work of making sure people have what they need to survive. Do it through organizations that are already there.
