Pretty much all affordability discourse could benefit from just posting this chart.

If you're in the better off America, all the luxury goods you want in excess are for the most part much cheaper. If you're in the poorer America, most of the shit you need to live/grow is more expensive.

First Trump is trying to expropriate $230M from DOJ for himself, now this
This allows Trump (via DOJ) to use taxpayer money to bribe eight GOP Senators. It's that simple, there's no other way to describe it.

And where's the compensation for people injured by the Trump admin's unlawful conduct through DHS & DOGE?

Take a bow, @schumer.senate.gov, you did this.

The Trump administration on Monday said it still wants the Supreme Court to block lower court decisions requiring it to pay full food assistance benefits to about 42 million Americans who rely on the nation’s largest anti-hunger program.

I have come to believe this as well. The list is too strange. I don’t think a majority wanted to cave, but many more than the 8.
I think that these 8 Senators are falling on the sword for Schumer and other Senators who wanted the shutdown to end. This allows the majority of Senators to save face; and only retiring or not up for reelection Senators take the heat.

It’s a ruse.

Despite spending twice as much per capita, we are the only major country not to guarantee health care to all as a human right.

This deal is a surrender. Two parties who say they care about high costs but none who will fight to deliver on it. Democrats fighting for affordable health care this past month was a huge boon to the brand and paid off in elections. If they reverse course now it will vanish—and they’ll deserve it.
Chuck Schumer cannot agree to any deal that does not include, at minimum, a one year extension of the ACA credits.

A pinky promise from John Thune is meaningless.
