Teen Vogue and Wired were doing some of the best coverage in the last year. Wired lost most of their reporters outside of the Bay Area and NYC after instituting a mandatory in-office policy. Now Teen Vogue's big layoffs. There's just nothing left for journalists outside of a very small bubble.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.
certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

"Torment Nexus" comes from this tweet and is often used now to describe the kind of negative experiences you can have with social networks, like getting dogpiled or harassed or being pushed into conflict

And I’m convinced that all the caping for Platner is coming from twitter only. All the lefty discord servers I’m in (especially TMBS) were ready to cut bait 2 weeks ago, but the people still on Twitter are the ones sinking their reputations by dead ending a flailing candidate.
if you think that’s what’s keeping left-leaning political takes from being seen on Twitter is that they aren’t being posted rather that they are being actively suppressed by the site’s white supremacist owner, you are either too dumb or too dishonest to listen to, even on Bluesky

Pouring one (cider) out tonight for the Gideon Tibbets Gravenstein, the last remnant of an orchard planted in the 1840s. Wish I’d cut a scion or two before it came down, but I know it has plenty of clones out there.
