listening to a series of YT videos on different creatures from mythology / demonology and again fascinating that one of the most famous demons out there, Belial, just comes from an old Hebrew word meaning "those without a yoke" i.e. a designation to those who committed crimes and broke taboos.

Didn't they do the same nonsense when the final season of SHERLOCK turned out to be a dogs dinner?
obviously not sure how many people really believe this but my girlfriend who is big on tumblr has informed me there is a non zero amount of people who think there's another secret episode of stranger things dropping on Orthodox Christmas: ew.com/stranger-thi...
'Stranger Things' fans think a secret episode is coming based on viral theory and clues
Warning: spoilers ahead! Some 'Stranger Things' fans are convinced that a secret episode is still coming based on the viral 'Conformity Gate' theory about some Easter egg clues in the series finale.

Do regret leaving twitter but I do wish I could carry over a thread I did about how much the finale of AKIRA is basically Otomo getting to take another crack at the finale for one of his previous attempts at a psychic superpower manga, FIREBALL.

I hear there's showings of AKIRA in Japan that'll have live taiko drum and vocal performers and I want to see one of those one day.

said it before , will say it again but the movie adaptation handles Lady MIyako is very weird. It's is like if say, Stephen King did an adaptation of THE STAND where Mother Abigail is a Randall Flagg groupie that gets randomly taken out by a truck.

Hooper & Romero & Carpenter were all great for a multitude of reasons, but as I grow older, I think what I find most fascinating about the trio, as they reflect off of one another, is they were all highly skeptical of the American ideal they were raised into & they questioned it in different ways

also who does the fight choreo on the AVATAR sequels. Nice seeing big, elaborate fighting in a western movie that isn't aping JOHN WICK / 8711.

I dunno guys, I don't think the "he was no hero" tagline is meant to be taken as "He was a bad guy" especially since Hugh Jackman's playing him. It's probably another "the legend was a flawed anti-hero" take.

Like I said, they got him doing LOGAN again.
January 5, 2026 at 7:30 PM
Anyway starting to wonder if it's actually bad luck for an up and coming star actor to have a superhero be their breakout role these days.
Hugh Jackman is still doing LOGAN again even when he's not.
