You know that old idiom: "Once is accident, twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action. Seven is Get This Shit Off The Streets, Jesus Wept.

thinking of another movie list: movies that feel like 90's anime OVAs. Not thinking big budget stuff more like weird lower budget b-movies: off the top of my head examples of what I'm looking for Norrington's DEATH MACHINE and SPLIT SECOND.

When asked if there was anything "incriminating" in Epstein's emails, Trump pointed a finger in a female reporter's face and snapped. 'Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.'

The left has to prove every idea is peerlessly foolproof, but the center just has to say “eh this is good enough.” It fucking sucks.

Love to see a peckerwood centrist weasel get the libs all riled up because prison abolition doesn’t have an immediate solution to everything, as if working towards a world with less punitive justice and focusing on removing the root causes of most crimes isn’t a better ideal than what the U.S. has.

The Flayed Man’s Tale~ another concept design for @realgdt.bsky.social incredible FRANKENSTEIN! Always a wonderful collaboration with Guillermo and the amazing Mike Hill, working over in-progress body sculpt pics & trying different head/ jaw designs (originally a screaming skull in early concept)!

Thinking of this painting by Ashley Laurence, who played Kirsty in Hellraiser 1 & 2. I wonder if there's any other paintings by her displayed, because I love this.

feel like Goodfellas is the most basic bitch answer to "Favorite Scorsese" but it's true. A flick you can throw on and kick back with at any time.

There’s a difference between treating someone with a disability as the horror VS portraying the horrifying ways our bodies act out against us/reacting in terror to how disability changes our life. I feel like well meaning people lump in the latter as always being the former

there are no interesting answers to the question, "are video games art?" the entire tedious conversation cycle exists as a riposte to a 70-year-old film critic who has now been dead for over a decade (RIP).

it's time to move on, pursue other lines of discourse.

And gotta give 'em credit: they made an effective horror movie image out of people doing the Naruto run.
Well, rewatched WEAPONS. The obfuscating way it tells the story wasn't quite as effective on second viewing (Brolin's section is a wee bit dull) but...I still enjoyed it overall and I still wonder what the fuck some old lady did to Zach McCregor.
