If you're feeling overwhelmed by the hideous ubiquity of AI slop I strongly recommend looking at breathtaking art that predates the written word and crying at the enduring beauty of human creativity for a bit.
Plagues, wars and ice ages haven't stopped us, neither will robots who suck at painting.

In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.
The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.
The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.
Why?
It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

There's literally nothing like stomping around a snow covered forest on a foggy morning and letting the quiet into your soul. The only thing similar is being like way out in the grasslands or canyon country.

I've worked outdoors doing heavy labor year round, I've been to the ER 4 times for heat exhaustion, I hate summer, winter was always a way better season to work in.
I do in my heart love snow, I prefer snow to any other type of precipitation, and if anyone is saying "the snow is too early" you are wrong and it is not, this is when it's supposed to be here but climate change is ruining the best season.

WOW. This might be a first – a formal special marine warning for SNOWSPOUTS, or winter waterspouts.
These are the same as warm-season waterspouts, but they're forming beneath snow squalls.
It's because of the EXTREME contrast between the warm lake waters and frigid air above!

Heard from some family in Jamaica yesterday. It was the first time we were able to speak via phone. Power and water has been restored to their area so the kids were able to return to school Thursday.
One of the first things our cousin uttered about the strength of Melissa: climate change.

No doubt about it: Climate change made Hurricane Melissa way worse.
An analysis of the storm found “all aspects of this event were amplified by climate change, and that we'll see more of the same.”

if you are food insecure for both the humans and pets in your household there is a tool called Pet Help Finder that can help locate pet food banks nearby and other free or reduced price assistance and supplies for pets.
no one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, should have to give up their pet bc of this.

ICE agents in Chicago violently detain a non verbal autistic man for being “non compliant”
He couldn’t “comply” because of his disability…they don’t care
This is not the first time they’ve gone after a disabled person
They target the most vulnerable because it’s an easy way to meet their quota
