This is not a deal — it's an empty promise.

Trump and his Republican Congress are making healthcare more expensive for the middle class and ending it for working families.

Time for Democrats to stand tall for affordable healthcare. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...

So after 40 days, Senate Democrats just got … none of their demands … all while their base was telling them to hold strong and just delivered them resounding wins on Tuesday?

The original Dem demands were:
1) Permanent ACA subsidies
2) Medicaid funding restored
3) No more blank checks for the regime (rescission)

They dropped Medicaid immediately. Went silent on rescission. Cut back to 1 year of subsidies on Friday. And surrendered today.

The Senate Democrats!

They're trying to be cute but "Generalissimo" doesn't even make historical or contextual sense here given it's used to denote a military-backed dictator, usually a right-wing strongman. But sure Wapo. Come on. At least be intelligent.
What in the hell is this? "Generalissimo"? "laced with identity politics and seething with resentment"?

I know we all canceled WaPo but do they know the people they're trying to recruit instead already have WSJ op-ed pg? (And this is not good enough for it) www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...
