It took me months, about 495 rides, recovering from a shattered right foot and hacking a folding scooter, but I finally own a Nintendo Switch 2 using points obtained from Citi Bike. Afterwards, it left me questioning the very nature of work. For @aftermath.site.

Historical romance has certainly gone through a market contraction these last few years, like so many other things, but then, I don’t know any romance authors of any stripe publishing with Harlequin anyway—their rep has been lousy for awhile. I’m more curious how other publishers are treating it.

I have seen publishers downsizing their historical romance sections for a while. This is another sign that times are still going to be hard ahead.
