Goodness, what's more disheartening than seeing a pangram in the 🐝and getting hit with a "not in word list"?

Yes, please! I'd spend a good amount of time and money working for this.
Former U.S. Sen. Doug Jones appears to be headed for another political showdown against current Sen. Tommy Tuberville, this time for the governor’s office.

1984 Nintendo Red Tent aka the Nintendo Vs. DualSystem cocktail arcade cabinet.

You don’t see this one very often. It allows two players to play different games on each side or to play the same game against each other.

@mattseybold.bsky.social I just read your new AV blog post about CUNY stepping in for public ed-tech. 1) Bold, love it; 2) Lina Khan, who is in the transition team, might be into it. Anyone we know has an in with her? Maybe @moacir.com who's doing digital librarian type work for the DSA...

Humanities programs have 3 perfect tools here:

"There's a reason they don't want you studying it" paired with

"The only way to tear this down and rebuild is by practicing the empathy, understanding, and critical thought that can come with studying the humanities" and

"We're already doing it."
Major in Africana Studies or any humanities course like English Literature! You could be mayor of New York City. You could do anything.

ICE/CBP is active in Lincoln Park right now, has been spotted near Damen/Clybourn at Costco + Jewel (this is in addition to a morning abduction reported at Costco earlier).

People believe grocery delivery drivers are being targeted and are asking folks to alert other vulnerable workers as well.

Nothing captures American life in 2025 better than Chair Company
I'm already in the tank for Tim Robinson but Chair Company reminds me of a Don DeLillo novel, I'm obsessed.

I've never been a Tim Robinson fan, but this Chair Company show is pretty fun.

Aftereffect of the B52s/Devo show: my brain keeps going "suburbanrobotswhomonitotreality"

Devo live effing ruled. A new appreciation for the guys who aren't Mark M. Political and tight and danceable (or worth marching to). Line Lovich also great. Cannot believe B52s are still to come.

I'm going to see the B52s and Devo and Leve Lovich tomorrow! With my husband and my kid who has heard enough of their songs that he should actually enjoy himself! This video is something that brings me pure, unadulterated joy: youtu.be/VvCng7-za1Y?...

Yep, I knew there were some reasons for not returning a grocery cart that hadn't occurred to me.
the grocery cart is the most commonly-used mobility aid, especially among people who don’t yet realize they would benefit from another form of mobility aid. But it would be helpful if stores would put cart corrals nearer to accessible parking areas instead of in the middle of the parking lot.
October 19, 2025 at 4:07 PM
I'm pretty sure having a baby with you is the only acceptable reason for not returning your grocery cart. Willing to entertain other possibilities. But I do think returning a grocery cart is one of the best tests of whether people will work towards the public good when no one is watching.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?
