Last night, I got properly "doored" for the first time. A car in the road to my right paused, and the rear left passenger threw open his door without looking, right into my path. I ended up on the floor, badly winded but ok.

If you don't know what the "Dutch reach" is, NOW is the time to learn.

We pride ourselves on being a democracy and yet there’s a medieval theocratic anachronism in the heart of parliament: 26 bishops with automatic seats in the House of Lords. (The only other country in the world with clerics automatically entering a government is… Iran).
Great news. MPs should also pay attention to our campaigns:

● Remove the 26 bishops

Religious office should not grant automatic voting rights in a parliamentary democracy.

● Scrap parliamentary prayers

Attending prayers should not to provide speaking advantages🧵

The UK Govt said it's 'committed' to keeping collective worship in state-funded schools.

It's offering new 'objective, pluralistic, and critical' guidance.

But that's the problem, isn't it? Worshiping a deity is inherently not objective, pluralistic, or critical.

Pleased to see the jury make this decision.

We need to have eyes wide open this is exactly why the Government wants to abolish juries.

People protesting against a genocide are not the criminals here - it's the politicians who continue to provide cover.

Remember that David Lammy wanted to do away with most jury trials? This is why. Jurors have an absolute right to acquit, which a judge (in practice) does not.

Whatever people may think of the Assisted Dying Bill, it is important to understand that the Lords do not have the legal powers to stop it. Under the Parliament Act of 1949, the Lords can of course suggest changes, but they have no authority to over-ride the will of elected MPs, nor should they.

They were met with loud circus music.
