Hi! Checking in from just down the road from this particular Waffle House, and they shut down for one (1) day due to an ice storm, which I fail to see has anything to do with the stock market or economic indication other than “didn’t open for a single day due to inclement weather.”
The most honest economic indicator in America right now is not the stock market. It is the Waffle House Index. In Cherokee County, Georgia, the Sheriff’s office posted a photo of a closed Waffle House with the caption "You know it’s bad when Waffle House is closed!!!" They are right.
