This is the thing about the "Don't give them the pretext to send in more feds" arguments. The administration is using its own murder of an unarmed civilian as the pretext to send in more agents. They do not need a pretext and will invent them if they want.

Meet people where they are, contradictions abound.
too many people seemed to learn the wrong lesson about minneapolis from the George Floyd uprising–— that it is just a bad, place with racist cops.

the real lesson should have been that people in minneapolis actually care about their neighbors and are willing to do something about injustice.

💯, abolish ICE in form and function. Do not reform, do not replace.
ICE isn’t bad because they’re doing a bad job at something that is necessary. it is that they are wholly unnecessary, and their function is evil.

Police and ICE are different but not in the sense that one is a lesser evil than the other.
We don’t need to compare what happened in Minneapolis to Nazi Germany. We can compare it to what has happened in Minneapolis before.
