I’m bringing my Path to Platinum posts over here to Bluesky! In these, I share the journey of video games in which I’m aiming for that sweet Platinum.

My current target is Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor. This and its sequel are two of my favorite stealth games and I always have a blast with them.

Discovering computer as an adult makes you go crazy. Discovering computer as a baby makes you go crazy. In all of human history, there will only ever be one generation to discover computer at the correct age: 13
The problem with every post-Millennial generation is they got to go straight to high speed internet. Of course you'll get computer madness that way. Make them start with those old screeching modems and work their way up

Love that the closest thing that Pokémon Red/Blue has to a tutorial is a drunk guy lying in the street who screams at you when you first meet him.

If you were too young in 2003 here is what Bush told the American people:

1) The Iraq War won’t cost a lot of money
3) We won’t need a lot of troops
4) We’ll bring peace and freedom to Iraq
5) We’ll find WMDs
6) We’ll be welcomed as liberators
7) It will be easy
8) It won’t take long

All lies.

Er, anyone else remember that in Andor, despite all his actual crimes, he is arrested just for walking around and "looking suspicous" by an Imperial officer, then sentenced to 6 years -- without due process -- to a foreign prison? Yeah....

A little while ago, my parents' cat Bridget went missing. As the weeks dragged on, they became extremely worried. My dad devised a way to distract himself: he began to paint Bridget's adventures, imagining her travelling through time and popping up in some of art and music's most iconic scenes.

1. Stop assuming people announce all their activism on social media.

2. Stop demanding people announce all their activism on social media.

3. Stop deriding people for not announcing all their activism on social media.

4. Dunking on people on social media isn't activism and isn't praxis.

I'm not sure which of you need to hear this, but:

If you push yourself to your limits and burn out for a company, you are trading years of your future productivity for minor gains in the present.

Burning out will _fuck you up_, it's like brain fog or depression, and it takes years to recover

I’m pretty stoked!

Also I know I said that the DLCs don’t really matter to me in my quest for Platinums, and generally that’s still true. But I haven’t really spent time with the DLCs for SOM and I’m having a blast, so maybe we’ll get a full 100% after all!

I thought that was the midichlorians
The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.
