Buckle up - because this now amounts to a direct and deliberate attack on our country and its cultural sovereignty. Which side our politicians take - Trump's or the BBC's - over the coming days and weeks will speak volumes about their patriotism.
Trump says he will sue BBC for at least $1bn over Panorama edit
The US president confirmed he intends to sue the broadcaster for at least $1bn over the Panorama edit of a 2021 speech.

Farage, Boris Johnson & Rees-Mogg apparently plotting assaults on UK democracy with Bannon, who was reporting back to Epstein. Nothing to see here, newspaper folk…

Please can the Labour Party take note and stop spouting crap that appeals to the 10%.
10% of white people think you have to be white to be English - but 84% of white people disagree with that. Two-thirds of ethnic minorities think Englishness is a civic, not ethnic identity, though 1/4 of minority groups join 1/10 of the majority group in seeing it as ethnically defined (YouGov)

Defend the BBC before it’s gone – an open letter

The BBC isn’t perfect – but it’s ours. If we don’t defend it now, we may lose a cornerstone of British democracy

Alexa, how does the Labour government decide policy?
I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?

SUPERB and angrily unvarnished response, by former BBC chairman, Lord Patten.

"I don't think that we should allow ourselves to be bullied into thinking that the BBC is only any good, if it reflects the prejudice of the last person who shouted at it." ~AA

Whole fucking thing makes me sick to my stomach. An abject fucking liar, a man who lies as easily as he fucking breathes, threatening an organisation which strives for truthfulness. And plastic patriots like the Mail and Farage urging him on. Jackels.

I’ve just made my own lavender bags with lavender from our garden, because it smells lovely and apparently moths hate the stuff.

Am I at the forefront of a less planet-exploiting, more sustainable way of living, or have I just become someone’s maiden aunt?

The BBC belongs to Britain, not Trump.

Political leaders across the spectrum must defend it.

Never thought I’d say this about anyone/thing loading the dishwasher but: my children can do a better job.
The loading-the-dishwasher struggle is real. Even—or especially—for the $20,000 1X Neo humanoid home robot.

💯 this 👇

Also, I don’t really notice or care what race people in adverts are, because what race people are isn’t an issue for me.
The fuss over who appears in TV adverts misses the point...
