MLS will move to a winter-centric schedule in 2027
The plan is for the 2027-28 campaign to start in late July, stop from mid-December to mid-February, resume the regular season through April, then have the playoffs in May.

I think you’re right for now, but I think USL will follow suit sooner rather than later (for the pro -divisions. Obvs USL2 must be summer)

Suburban living inevitably creates reactionary politics, as it’s fundamentally extractive on a number of levels. The suburbs need to be leveled globally.

This year's Sounders team was the most fun they've ever been & imo one of the ~10 most fun teams in MLS history.
I simply can not imagine not being entertained by the way they played (though I agree w/ you that they had a habit of taking the foot off the gas once they thought they had a game won).

The Sounders would have lost the round in the old single elim format, so going out with a winning record doesn't really bother me from a fairness perspective. But the fact that the format doesn't create better soccer than single elim bothers me. The first two games were meh. As have most BO3 series

Sounders were the better team by a large margin. But that a was an awful shootout. I don’t hate best of 3 I actually like it, but please do first to 5. I hate ending them all on PK’s.

The vast majority of voluntary plastic surgery should be illegal. Not because of a strongly held dislike of the surgery itself, but because having the beauty standard be gated behind 10’s of thousands of dollars in surgery does a lot of damage to normal people’s sense of self.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?
