Championship!!!
Paul George's first touch comes on an off-ball, catch-and-shoot 3, which he drains for the game's first points.

The Eagles are a good team so maybe they’ll get on a roll and make a deep run but, at this point, I’m just hoping that the offensive line is merely struggling and not cooked. They’re just not very strong right now.

Most of you people have terrible technique when it comes to washing dishes and then you hand me that filth and expect me to eat off it or drink out of it? Shameful business.
Question 25:
Brag on yourself.
There’s something you do better than literally everyone else. What is it?

You could argue Sánchez had a better season than Skenes straight up, so the unanimous vote is kinda puzzling to me.

Whatever. Every couple of years we have to listen to the weird soccer super fans telling us that this time around, the USMNT is going to be good. They are never going to be good.

Of course the Dodgers “bought” a championship. But that’s the whole point of professional sports. Players get paid. Buy the best players and you’ll probably have the best team with the best chance of winning a championship.
This clip and this pod have gotten incredible response.

So check out the clip but listen to the whole show when you get a chance. Stan’s definitely a man with a point of view!
"That's not true."

Did the Dodgers buy a championship? On the new Starkville, I asked their president, Stan Kasten, about Jason Kelce's take - and lots more!

Also, @dougglanville.bsky.social & I weigh in on Clase,
Ortiz & sports betting. Plus more of your calls!

I’ve seen so many baseball writers over the last few years insisting that this was never getting built so I don’t know what to believe.

Having gay friends
Good morning Bluesky. What's the most ridiculous thing that you've been told is "gay"? Or at least "gay when a man does it"?

I'll start: birthday parties.

Pleased to report the crawfish birria tacos with oxtail was one of the best things I've ever crammed into my maw. This is a spot called Louisiana Purchase. One of the few black-owned joints in San Diego. Hit them up if ur here or let me take you ✌🏾

Vince Gilligan appears to have embraced his X-Files roots with the new Apple TV show, Pluribus. It’s weird. I think it’s about aliens but maybe not. Kinda digging it. Rhea Seahorn is the star and that’s a good thing.

Absolutely nothing about it is “shocking” unless you live under a rock. Nobody can afford to buy a house in this country right now unless they’ve been working and saving for decades and are a couple.
“It’s kind of a shocking number."

The median age of first-time home buyers in the U.S. hit an all-time high of 40 in 2025, according to a report from the National Association of Realtors. nyti.ms/4hKc58V

I really hope that you MF don’t nominate this MF because I have zero desire to vote for this MF.
"We’ve had good private communications,” Gov. Shapiro told The Associated Press Wednesday. “And I hope, as he did last night in his victory speech, that he’ll be a mayor that protects all New Yorkers and tries to bring people together.”
Zohran Mamdani reached out to Josh Shapiro. They had a ‘healthy dialogue’ about Israel, the Pa. governor said.
The Pennsylvania governor, who is Jewish, previously criticized the New York mayor-elect for not condemning “blatantly antisemitic” rhetoric.

Yeah. I wonder how that’ll go
Unaffiliated voters could play a decisive role in deciding the high-stakes contest between U.S. Rep. Mikie Sherrill, the Democratic nominee, and Republican Jack Ciattarelli, President Donald Trump’s endorsed candidate.
Unaffiliated voters could swing the N.J. governor’s race. Here’s what some of them think of the candidates.
About 36% of the state’s electorate is unaffiliated, and another 1% are registered with third parties.
