A massively overlooked factor: UBI means better credit ratings and so better access to better rates of interest.
Not only does this improve investment and entrepreneurship, but it takes the poor out of the clutches of abusive moneylenders both legal and illegal.

If you think of universal basic income as just "more money," you aren't understanding it and what makes it so different and effective. The fact it comes at a regular frequency is a key factor. When you know that whatever happens next month, you can still buy food, that's a huge deal.

I've never wished for UBI as much as I have when learning how to create video games!
I can't get to grips with this criticism that UBI would just mean people sat around doing nothing. I've had very little 'paid' work this week, but I've put in some 10+ hour days learning Godot. Its all I want to do!

Fantastic, and I think this hits to the heart of what the AI-adopting management types need to understand. Bear in mind they don't give a shit about the theft/'is it art'/ethical stuff. Or even, tbh, quality (within reason).
