"Wishlist quality" is a handy shorthand that implies:
1) Some sources are lower quality
2) Some wishlisters (people) are less committed

But really it's all about YOUR GAME. Some games will get more "hell yeah" wishlists than others. Some games have a more attractive launch offering.

This is my kind of map. Detailed. Not a vague map like in Silksong. I need to see what I have explored properly. This is Afterimage btw.

I have been really enjoying Deep Rock Survivor but it has crashed (frozen) on several boss fights for me (Xbox series S). Maybe it’s time to get off the dopamine mill.

Are you a go left at start kind of person? I am.

A good example of a console/controller operated menu. Clear what is the current option.

Information:
We launched GenExile, our solarpunk city-builder, in Early Access last week. We had ~35k wishlists before launch (not a barnburner but not nothin').

And they said, "Well, there's no way you'll convert literally 0% of your wishlists to sales."

I looked them dead in the eyes and said, "Watch me."

This is a must-watch for sound designers.
Once again, my version is no less authentic than the original.

I'm like "I'm freezing" and I put on loads of layers. Then I'm like "I'm too hot" and take them off again. Then the cycle begins anew.

how to stop unwanted line breaking while animating text appearing in godot
November 9, 2025 at 3:48 PM
Q. So that thing where game text types out in a story box, and then a word that doesn't fit suddenly wordwraps down to the next line, instead of starting on the next line in the first place. Is that a retro aesthetic or bad programming?

It shouldn't be hard to code properly. Or does no one care?

Most TV shows and movies don't work if people make intelligent choices.

What Dan says. Yeah it is terrifying. There's not a week goes by when we don't see a seemingly great game perform poorly, and you feel for the devs/studio because you know things are going to be rough.
This is a great read.

Also: important to realise that this industry has become *persistently terrifying* for your favourite devs, and that is no atmosphere in which to be creative.

Try to buy games, if you're able. Buy lots of games. Review and share them if you love them. Talk about them.
Sat down for a lovely chat with @clert.bsky.social over @eurogamer.bsky.social To talk about my games and how I'd like to keep making and improving them sustainably. To step away from the launch, meme and hype driven madness that has taken root in games.

Stayed up late playing Deep Rock Survivor (it’s great!) but alas woke up at my normal time. Tired. It’s my fault.
