Always felt that it was an upper class-run media, staffed by upper middle class (upper class wannabes), pretending to venerate a working class they actually despised and feared. They talk about their middle class enemies as 'out of touch' because they know they themselves are.

In the US, the whole concept of 'the radical left' is utterly ridiculous. Whilst Mamdami is genuinely left-leaning, It always amuses me when they call regular Democrats as 'radical left' when in the UK and EU they would be considered centre-right at the very least (think 90s UK Conservative party)
