If anything good can come from my arrest, I hope it's that more people demand the shutdown of the Broadview ICE facility, where humans are treated like poorly kept animals. Stop the deportations. Demand the truth about Silverio's death at ICE's hands.

Those trying to understand the tariffs as economic policy are dangerously naive.

No, the tariffs are a tool to collapse our democracy. A means to compel loyalty from every business that will need to petition Trump for relief.

Trump just signed an exec order purporting to require a passport (or a few other docs) to register to vote. The president doesn't have the power to override a law passed by Congress. This is the SAVE Act but much worse. It is an illegal power grab that would block tens of millions from voting.

🚨 RED FLAG ALERT 🚨

The Lemkin Institute warns that the Trump administration's anti-trans agenda is part of a larger authoritarian strategy — targeting marginalized groups to pave the way for broader state repression.

We must reject these attacks on human rights. #ProtectTransLives

Agreed with Gillian here.

If you called your Senator (or didn't) to tell them to vote against a trans sports ban, it's important that you also call them and thank them for their vote.

NO Democrat broke on this.

I led USAID's operation for the 2014-15 outbreak in West Africa.

Also went to Congo with WHO to assess response at peak of the 2019 outbreak (under Trump 1).

Those were both robust USG ops.

That capacity has now been wrecked.

Ah, excellent, the Atlantic has now adopted the Online Discourse of Vaguely Gesture Towards Dems Bad, Primary All Dems.

Neat how corporate media is on the same page as the edgiest of online edgelords.
“Democrats talk easily about how the party has gotten 'out of touch,' but they don’t draw the obvious connection about what happens when you’re out of touch: You get things substantively wrong and alienate voters with your unpopular ideas,” Josh Barro writes:
Democrats Need to Clean House
The problem with the party goes way beyond the $10 words.

It is important to understand that is absolute not the longstanding norm.

The Congress makes/passes laws.
The Executive branch executes the laws.
The Judicial branch interprets on the law.

On that last point, one might say, the Judicial branch is the one that gives the opinions on the law.
Trump official announces that Trump has signed an executive order claiming that only the president can speak for “what the law is”
