Folks, you can't report the United States to its manager. There's no superhero coming to save us.

We don't need one giant act of heroism. We need millions of small acts of solidarity. Help one person in your community for nothing in return. Then, do it again. And again.

That's the revolution.

Let's all to take a deep breath & understand that we have reached the phase in fascism where if they want to declare you a criminal, you are a criminal. You can not magically avoid it, or do exactly the right thing to stay off the list. Fascism must always have enemies, and one day you will be one.

Look, they do not have the capacity or competence to do this at the scale they want you to fear they do, and your fear is precisely their greatest force multiplier. Everybody who is cowed into silence by their threats allows them a smaller pool to focus on.

Flock license plate readers aren't traffic cams! They don't issue speeding tickets, and they're not what the city of Chicago is using to cite drivers. They're 100% a surveillance tool, designed and integrated to track movements and gather personal identifying information:

A vast network of new license plate cameras has exploded across Illinois in recent years—paid for by state grants to fight retail crime. With the federal government clamoring for more information on p...

I got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell outside of ICE’s hotels
Greetings! I’m here at a noise demonstration situated at both Marriotts in Pasadena. It is *extremely* loud. In one spot, several people are blaring multiple Spanish language songs at once; the only one I can identify is La Chona. Also some screams.

wonder if that’s because “they” aren’t actually “federal agents” at all …
For what it’s worth, the hotel denies that federal agents are using the hotel. “they weren’t here before and they’re not here now.”

When asked, “they do not have a specific policy against hosting federal agents”

Activists have told me they are going on solid tips and that they do not believe them.

I encourage everyone to actually read the dissent. The description of what this government is doing should shock anyone with a conscience. It is unfathomably cruel, indeed sadistic. And yes, *this* is being enabled by the highest court in the nation.
#BREAKING: Over a (sharp) public dissent from the three Democratic appointees, #SCOTUS clears the way for the Trump administration to remove migrants to third countries *without* giving them an additional opportunity to contest whether they face persecution or other forms of mistreatment there:

If you get arrested at ICE.
1. Please count how many prisoners you see.
2. Please be quiet and listen to everything the cops say to each other. They arent from here. For example in 2020 I learned which buttons opened certain cell doors from the control room.

Remind other protesters arrested to be quiet so you can hear.

Mayor Brandon Johnson just told reporters that he's going to veto this ordinance.

"I stand against this proposal because we need data-driven, effective strategies to guide our community," he said.
Just in: Chicago City Council members voted 27-22 to allow the CPD superintendent to call a curfew with a 30-minute notice.

However, there aren't enough "yes" votes to prevent Mayor Brandon Johnson from vetoing it. Johnson used his veto power last year against a ShotSpotter ordinance.
