The new AMC preroll is an improvement but I will absolutely miss the last batch. There was just something so grand about it.

This kept this highlights, or most of them, they cut Clips cameo it looks like :(

Also Nicole’s heartbreak line has been restored so all is good in the world.

When your external brand partner lays down the law that AI sucks for brand building and you have to sit there with a straight face while they tell your boss the same thing you’ve been saying for weeks (months).

Not that I’m an Alamo guy, but this sucks for their value prop.

“Despite the necessity of phone usage for any hungry audience members, Alamo Drafthouse maintains that its famous “no talking, no texting” policy will remain in place and enforceable by employees.”

Have we really become so woke that we’re no longer comfortable with ICE shooting unarmed women and yelling “fuck you bitch” as they die?

When yet another local paper goes dark (yes, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette) and, in the same breath, the Minneapolis Star Tribune is delivering impactful local democracy protecting reporting, you understand exactly why the ruling class is rooting for independent journalism to fail.

AOC: This has now become what we feared most about ICE for a long time—that it would be used as an anti-civilian force with no accountability. At the end of the day, what we saw today was a murder, and murders in cold blood need to be prosecuted.

Zohran Mamdani, the new mayor of New York City, called President Trump on Saturday to personally object to strikes the U.S. had conducted in Venezuela and to the capture of its leader, Nicolás Maduro. Mamdani accused Trump of violating international law.

I know it’s easy to say “nothing makes a difference” but, just as a matter of principle & character, I’d love to know how many other Dems called the president directly, or even attempted to. It speaks to something pretty admirable about the mayor, imo.
“I called the president and spoke with him directly to register my opposition to this act,” Mr. Mamdani said at an unrelated news conference on Saturday, adding that he told Mr. Trump that he was “opposed to a pursuit of regime change, to the violation of federal and international law.”

If all Mayor Mamdani and Flynn do for the next few weeks is dust off canceled or watered down Adams-era bike projects we’ll be headed in the right direction. This is great news.
We’re waiting for the mayor at the McGuinness press conference. Meanwhile, DOT commissioner Mike Flynn has been handed, and put on, a make McGuinness safe — support which we never saw from the Adams administration.

It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.

It’s about oil and regime change.

And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.
