Today I saw ICE gas little white kids in the streets of Portland with chemical weapons. Imagine what they're doing to brown and black kids in the detention camps

It’s not just ICE detention centers that are death camps that must be abolished…
Wow TWO more deaths in the LA jails yesterday, bring the total in custody deaths for JUST JANUARY up to seven:

Lawyers can't reach clients in ICE detention. I've heard it anecdotally, but scale of issue is horrifying.

Bloomberg Law is a legal trade pub so many may miss this. Screenshot from their CA newsletter summarizes "bleak" situation for justice and rule of law.

This is how barricades worked in Paris during 1848 and 1871, just, fun fact. If you make a large enough area with such blockades at the entrances...
Twin Cities rapid responders have set up a "filter blockade" at 34th and Cedar and are calling for volunteers and donations. This is a new tactic developing over the last week: community is allowed to pass, but ICE agents are stopped/slowed before they can terrorize our neighbors.

Nonsense, this. The idea that kicking Blackstone et al out of SFH rentals may "backfire" by choking investment in new construction presupposes they have any interest in increasing supply. They don't! Like, none. The opposite, in fact.

Curbing institutional ownership of single-family homes does not tackle the affordability crisis and could make things worse

This should piss everyone off, and our tax dollars paid for this.

A massive building purchased by ICE for $70 million in Arizona to “warehouse” immigrants.

Calling this “housing” is a lie. This is storage. This is treating human beings like inventory.

I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people.

But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.
The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

we ended early because ICE tried to arrest his mom.

Matt Moberg's righteous fury with Donald Trump's immigration crackdown went viral. But he preaches empathy for the NBA stars figuring out how to stand for others without losing themselves.

At some point, academics are going to need to take responsibility for the ways their research has influenced the most despicable ways society responds to "crime". Like, broken windows policing, the more and better police training academic crowd continues to harm without shame.

We need an EVICTION MORATORIUM NOW.

Our neighbors risk being separated from their families when they go to work. They also run the risk of being displaced if they don’t.

Sadly, Mayor Frey refused to sign the resolution calling on the Governor to enact this moratorium.
