Decent (B/B+) audience recording... but the singalongs for Arms Outstretched and Better Son/Daughter are pretty great (particular emphasis on the f-words) if you need to feel something communal.

I do kinda enjoy when we beat countries in a sport that is their national obsession and it‘s something we only care about once every four years.

In trying to maximize their rights, leagues are underestimating the impact it has on even hardcore fans. The NFL had a Thur-Sun stretch over the holidays where there were like 10 time windows and only 2 and both on Sunday had games available on plain old network TV. So I just disn’t watch any of it.
As a lifelong NBA fan it's ruining the product. It's just not easy to switch between games or stumble upon a random game

And Chuck thinks this just needs to be reformed a little bit.
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

Still more than 1-in-3 We are a nation of morons.
New AP-NORC poll:

Only 36% of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing as president.

Trump is 20 points underwater on the economy and 22 points underwater on immigration.

69% say the country is on the wrong track. Only 29% say we're on the right track.

There are so many fucked up things with the current administration that it's hard to focus on one but this recent move is basically a death sentence for the planet. I've been involved with more boots on the ground actions over the years than I can count and this really bums me out.

The agency announced it is repealing its 2009 conclusion that greenhouse gases warm the Earth and endanger human health and well-being.

Two notes of caution on the household data here from the BLS. So that should tone down my enthusiasm on the data points described above (note: doesn't apply to payrolls or wages/hours).

Reskeeting this because everything else I've seen this morning already is some flavor of awful.
Good morning with good news: Renewables and nuclear will generate 84% of European Union's electricity by 2030!

RE rises from 48% to 63%!

Coal plunges 16%/year thru 2030!

Gas falls 6%/yr thru 2030!

EU will reach 100% RE & nuclear.

When?

2040-2045?

This made me realize that Mike Johnson isn't entirely unlike Arsene Wenger in a very specific way that is going to make me slightly angry.
He hasn’t heard a thing about him holding open the vote so he can’t comment on that.

He even brought out the metaphors. The beautiful game.

Wild that this guy anagram'ed his own surname to create an 'expert' (Ron Varo) he could cite to bolster his own retrograde economic views and he paid absolutely ZERO price for just making that shit up.
Peter Navarro: "The jobs report comes out tomorrow. We have to revise our expectations down significantly for what a monthly job number should look like ... Wall Street has to adjust for the fact that we're deporting millions of illegals out of the job market."
