Yep, I've had this experience on eBird too: got a nastygram about an American goldfinch vs Lesser goldfinch listing. Guy was downright mean about it, and it wasn't even my list - it was shared from a group trip!

Someone posted to here there are photography friendly wood ducklings in Eureka, CA where you can use reeds as blinds.
I knew there had to be somewhere within 600 miles.

This was their 2nd attempt. The first I didn't capture, and the 3rd I did video assuming the fish was dead and it was easy pickins. Instead the osprey just flew into a tree looking dissatisfied for a half hour, then left the lake!?
