This kinda 'both right'. It is pretty easy and cheap to make your own pasta (with the caveat you have a pasta roller) and it is wayyyyy better. But it is just enough of a pain in the ass that almost nobody does it. Especially when a box of pasta is about $1 and all you need to do is boil water.

They literally could have watched a stadium full of Americans lustily boo the president moments before they caved. Like all you had to do was nothing and his approval would have kept cratering.

I was thinking about just going without or what extra work I could pick up to afford the increase then I got profoundly sad about having to do extra work just to not die and, in the aggregate, about all that money doing literally anything else in the economy.
