Research by the University of Minnesota's Mapping Prejudice Project has uncovered hundreds of racist property deeds in Sherburne County. Nearly all the properties were clustered around lakes, and 90 percent were added after 1948. Racial covenants became illegal in Minnesota in 1953.

@aishaforward10.com This is something I am very concerned about and would appreciate y'all looking into banning these outright. Way too dangerous, especially in our 'challenging' driving environment.
Someone on the Minneapolis subreddit caught Waymos being delivered. We need the City Council need to ban the use of driverless cars. The technology isn't there. Our city cannot be a testing ground for 1.5 ton autonomous projectiles.

Critics say a proposed ban on cryptocurrency kiosks in St Paul will harm small businesses who specialize in scamming your grandma and will just push grandmas to nearby towns to get scammed.

The City Council is expected to take a final vote on an ordinance that would prevent the “use and placement” of the kiosks on Wednesday.

appears minneapolis centrists are gearing up for next year’s school board race by having a failed ward 2 council candidate, and childless white man, tell us schools need to close.

make sure u have a trusted boots on the ground source for school board race news in 2026. it’s gonna be brutal. 😔😢

Hi. It's me. I'm here to gently ask if you've been giving yourself grace? Patience? Self-care?

You've got this. You are enough, and you deserve all the good things.

To anyone biking south on Bryant today: watch out for this pole that a driver ran over *into* the bikeway.

It can be hard to see from the north side of the intersection.

I already reported it to the city but want to avoid anyone crashing before they fix it.

I was the person behind the comedian who got the last question at the DFL Listening Tour tonight.

I wanted to say "Big tents require sturdy poles and people holding axes shouldn't be welcomed in. If someone is being transphobic, they are holding an axe. Even if you can't see it, other people can."

Going to be at the DFL listening Tour tonight. Trying to articulate my questions in such a way to conform to the "family friendly" nature of the event, IE not just swearing at them for invalidating Minneapolis DFL's work and seemingly trying to push everyone left of Mitch McConnell out of the party.

Is there any research on why Minnesota drivers are so weird? I know why *I'm* weird (neuro-spicy), but I'm atypical compared to other drivers I've seen for years here.

Example: driving under the speed limit in the leftmost lane because they're going to take a left exit MILES ahead.

This feels incredibly out of touch. I can't help but think that she means to encourage the building of more single family homes in Ward 10. SFH's that poor folks will not be able to afford. Does she want these affordable small businesses to (under)pay workers who have to live outside of the Ward?
Millard: "Best form of rent control is the 30 year mortgage."

"Building is the way we keep the market stable."

"The way that we can also make things affordable is by supporting our small businesses and keeping them open" when they close, your tax burden goes up.

If you think ICE won't come for you, you're wrong. I live in a building in Highland Park of mostly retired white people and they still knocked on our door and wanted entry. Will they stormtrooper our building like the one in Chicago? I don't actually know. But they COULD. We are ALL targets now.

I'm curious if becoming a school teacher is:
a) possible for me to do in the MNSCU system without any prior degrees after highschool? I'm not set up financially to self fund, need Northstar promise.
b) a reasonable thing to attempt when I'm in my 40's with no prior exp?

My research is inconclusive.

Trying to get this set before Windows 10 end of support next month was my goal, hopefully this'll keep working.

I'm disappointed with the end of Season 3 of Star Trek Strange New Worlds. I didn't really feel anything about it, and that's a problem. I have problems with pretty much the entire season really, and wonder what would have been if Paramount didn't need to kowtow to fascism to get their merger.
