How comforting, it only took 8 weeks for the campus warning siren to be tested after September's failed test drill. Let's see if it actually works or if it's just a text scam again.

Corrupt to the core.
A 2022 tip warned BCSO of a deputy allegedly taking a bribe to dismiss a DWI, but the claim was deemed “unfounded.” Now that same deputy has pled guilty in a decades-long Albuquerque DWI bribery scheme.

I finally had a chance to ask a jeep person what was with the dashboard full of ducks and it isn't even interesting. Question answered, answer boring.

If Rs wanted to REALLY breaks Ds, all they'd have to do is offer an actually good universal healthcare plan. Pushing through a high-quality single-payer healthcare policy that demolished for profit insurance would crush dems for a generation.
We polled Indivisible members over the weekend on whether Dems should take a deal or keep fighting for the ACA subsidies. Results: 98.67% said keep fighting.

Dems who vote to surrender now are fracturing their own party in a way that will reverberate loudly in the primaries.
So Democrats get:

1. A CR that will prevent the GOP from facing the wrath of Americans for a shutdown over the holidays

2. A coupon for one (1) meaningless ACA vote that will fail

3. An end to the illegal RIF/SNAP moves that are already before the courts

Those all seem like wins for the GOP.

I think that superhero movies have done a number of human beings conditioning some people to believe that extraordinary actions are what matter. And if one can't be a superhero, then simple, ordinary efforts aren't worth doing.

Ok. Fine. I'll play.

I'd be totally fine with it if we let the ACA go

and replaced it with full single-payer universal healthcare.

Why do all bot and spam accounts have some version of “No DMs” in their bio? Genuine question. Do they think it makes them look more authentic? It’s a dead giveaway to me.

Someone online once asked me if we even have trees in New Mexico.
November 8, 2025 at 11:04 PM
That would be a waste of tomatoes. May I suggest throwing dirty diapers instead? And chanting "poop for the poopy-heads/the rich want our blood/off with their heads/let them eat mud!" while doing it?
It's incredible that we let billionaires bloviate about their policy views without throwing tomatoes at them. We know what they want, they want policies that work for a few dozen people and immiserate the other 300 million. Not interested!

Spent the morning outside doing fall stuff and 11/10 rating.

Turned leaf litter into garden mulch. Watered the trees. Spread a batch of compost. Picked tomatoes. This is The Life.

OK ladies, this guy *volunteers to clean litterboxes* on Saturday. Maybe we can find a good home for him soon?
Worked this morning but went to the cat shelter this afternoon.

Mostly just cleaned a *ton* of litter boxes. But here’s one really sweet lil baby who’s up for adoption.

I did once manage to ruin a superbowl bet between my stepdad and my first husband. Pure gold when they had to pay up, to me, the girl who didn't even watch the game.
Frankly women aren’t ruining enough things. Let’s ruin sports betting. Let’s ruin underwear companies that don’t account for people having butts. Let’s ruin trucks so big their fronts are taller than our heads. Let’s ruin the prison industrial complex. I believe in us!

I don't eat much meat so tonight's dinner was giving me heartburn and I had to go eat an apple and now I feel much better. Dinner was delicious chicken enchiladas, no complaints, but reminded me why I have nearly reverted to my vegetarian ways.
