Boris Johnson says the idea that criticism of the BBC is being organised by the right is ‘complete and utter bollocks’, which makes me think there might be something in it.

A big privilege of working at a school that’s as old as ours is the stories. The legacy. We lost 65 Old Boys in the First World War. Around 150 in the Second World War. Today, especially, we remember them

My husband is an immigrant. Labour are trying to extend the period to be eligible for ILR from 5 years to 10, costing us thousands of pounds on top of the more than £35k he's already paid to be here in student fees, visa fees and NHS surcharge costs
As a Safety manager in the NHS, Labour is most likely making me redundant, and I could lose my house. Making NHS patients less safe in the process.

How are Labour policies changing your life?
Why aren't Labour's life-changing policies connecting with voters - and what can the party do? It's down to messaging, how it's told, and the messengers...

Dear journalists: if you call me about “mustard gas” based on a sandwich, I’m going to make it my mission in life to embarrass you for decades. STOP CALLING ME OVER THIS ABJECT BULLSHIT
Deep sigh. “Mustard gas” is entirely unrelated to mustard or mustard seeds. It’s a nickname. Hell, it’s not even a gas

Only people who have only ever known peace and safety; who have zero sense of the chasm that yawns beneath us, would pull stunts like this. Like the generals who plunged us into WW1 because they wanted baubles like their granddads.

Nada, an Oxford plastic surgeon, told me stories of children in Gaza suffering wounds, which without care will lead to life-changing injuries.

I pushed the Government to work to establish a humanitarian corridor from Gaza to the West Bank for those injured to access treatment.

Given the party's refusal to act on Pochin's brazen racism, it should be as socially unacceptable to vote for Reform as it was in the early 2000s to vote for the BNP.

And we should be prepared to say this to people's faces.

Zack Polanski says politicians must stop fuelling fear and start telling the truth about immigration.

Spare some love today for Collingwood. The other Admiral at Trafalgar.

Proud northerner. Hater of flogging. Legit brilliant commander and Nelson's trusted right hand. First into battle on Royal Sovereign. Took charge after Nelson was sniped and saved the British Fleet.

Here's HIS Trafalgar... /1 🧵

The thing about the Overton window is that it just shifts by default if you let people propose insane policies like removing people with indefinite leave to remain without robust challenge. It doesn't just go away, it slowly leaks into the mainstream water supply unless you properly hose it down.
