The key empty-headed fatuity to the Ezra Klein approach is that if you engage in a pantomime of "debate" by going places and taking questions, you're still "doing politics right" even if you are calling for people to be deported for speech or stoned for being gay. It's civic society cosplay.
“Charlie Kirk hated me, Charlie Kirk said I should be deported from the US – but obviously what happened to him was horrific, and we all condemn it.”

the trump administration, obviously concerned with racial equality, thinks its illegal discrimination to spend federal dollars protecting a predominantly black community from raw sewage
Calling it "illegal DEI," Trump issues EO to shut down a program redirecting human waste away from a rural Alabama area regularly flooded with sewage during climate-change-amplified storms.

The area's population is over 72% Black.

Because the framers of the Constitution referred explicitly only to men, no authority can lawfully restrain Pam Bondi from organizing a terrorist police state.

Let's discuss the *actual* charges against Judge Hannah Dugan using the Complaint against her.
tl;dr - she sent the man in question into the public hallway where agents there to arrest him watched him walk by and did nothing. 1/

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING NONSTOP!

"Every single moment, statement, or action that slows down the backslide into authoritarianism is a good one, and we should look for and document them." www.lawdork.com/p/what-the-t...
the only approach to trump that has ever made sense was “slow him down as much as possible while rallying public support to your cause” and while most politicians, pundits, and big law partners don’t get this, some do, and lawyers in particular have the tools to act on that understanding
in the spirit of self-crit: in past years I have certainly been among those who have been vocally skeptical of the role of law and lawyers in meaningfully constraining armed agents of the state. but I do think we have to hand it to lawyers at this time

I feel like we need to keep saying this because it’s so insane: This is a legal U.S. resident who has been detained for over a month now for his political opinions.
The Department of Homeland Security denied Mahmoud Khalil permission to attend the birth of his first child, who was delivered at a New York hospital on Monday, according to emails reviewed by The New York Times.
