I am hearing that on his deathbed Dick Cheney received the light of Islam and unhesitatingly recited the Shahada. Even now he looks down on the Ummah from the gardens of Jannah. Truly there is no god but Allah, and Mohammad is his prophet!

Take note of all these people turning out for protests in small towns in red states.

Remember them the next time you’re inclined to write an area off because “they voted for this.”

We will need Nuremberg-like trials
ICE secretly kidnap autistic boy during bathroom break—never notify parents.

Mother reported him missing a week ago—turns out ICE had him detained the whole time.

He was helping sell fruit and asked to go to the restroom—by the time she was done helping a customer he was gone.

I have approximately zero following on this app, sharing in the hopes it can get in front of the right person. A man I went to college with’s wife was kidnapped by ICE at a green card hearing, and he’s trying to find a reporter who will speak to him about the situation

There will be a point at the trials when the prosecutors are going to want to prove a depraved indifference to human life, and man are they going to be spoiled for material.

You can’t defeat fascism by capitulating with it. You absolutely cannot beat fascism by burying your head, and pretending electoralism will save you. You cannot reason with fascism because it is intentionally unreasonable. You have to excise it from society like the cancer it is.

The trauma of this event will reverberate in everyone who witnessed it. The tragedy of the American Right is that they don't *believe in trauma,* and so all they do is turn it into outrage and revenge.

"Feelings aren't facts," I heard once. But unexamined feelings lead people to distort facts.

This is your reminder that we are not powerless. Join or start a local organization that is working to keep people safe and/or to mobilize against fascism.
This is getting very bad:

*FBI raids top Trump critic's home
*Trump loyalist gins up "mortgage fraud" pretexts for DOJ probes of Schiff, Letitia James, Lisa Cook
*Bannon says ICE will monitor 2026 voting
*DHS memo vows LA operations "for years to come"

Trump’s FBI Raid of John Bolton’s Home Looks Like a “Five Alarm Fire”
Thus far little is known about Friday’s law enforcement action against a top Trump critic. But we’re seeing an escalation of authoritarian power on many fronts that has grown unmistakable.

Someday our grandchildren will ask what we did during these times. Every day every single one of us has to choose to be on the right side of history, no matter how inconvenient that may be.

SUBWAY GUY DID NOTHING WRONG
AG Bondi says a DOJ employee has been fired after he was arrested for allegedly throwing a wrapped Subway sandwich at a federal law enforcement officer in Washington, D.C.

Following his arrest, the man allegedly told one of the arresting officers: “I did it. I threw a sandwich.” wapo.st/3Uq59TN

It is being done on purpose, with malevolent intent to harm other human beings. And we know it is happening.

We're going to need Nuremberg trials when this is over, yes, and to send a significant number of people currently in the federal government to prison. But we're going to need an unwavering commitment to ostracizing the supporters of it, as well. Never accept them again in polite society.

Hey folks. I know there's a lot going on right now, but I'd really appreciate it if you read this piece I wrote on the perils of raising an autistic child during the era of RFK Jr. and his campaign of insane conspiracies and cruel scare tactics geared toward people on the spectrum.
