They have excellent resources to learn many languages, too. This thread lists the other languages and some resources for Spanish.

And they include grammar, vocabulary, videos for "ear training", cultural aspects of the languages, etc. Really impressive.

The Center for Open Edu. Resources & Language Learning (COERLL) at UT Austin has so many FREE resources to learn different languages.

I use some of their French videos & audio to "train my ear" for fast spoken French.

A decade later, I still think this is the best video on whether or not to italicize words in non-English languages when writing in English. www.youtube.com/watch?v=24gC...

I haven't shared any #embroidery for a while, because I was busy creating some for my wedding!

Each hoop is a table name, and each is based on a holiday and an animal we saw (and photographed) on that holiday. The majority are, of course, #butterflies or #moths.

And finally, something open access which offers information and ideas intersectional with the unpaid carers' role. www.thebookseller.com/comment/quer... - this one is open access...for access!
Querying must be inclusive too
How can agents and publishers make the querying process easier for writers with a disability?

Sucks to be the other 2.95 million disabled people, eh?
The government's proposed cuts to disability benefits will deepen poverty and hardship, and push many further from work 📢

Over 3 million disabled people will see their benefits cut, but the government's plans may help just 45,000-95,000 more disabled people into work. 1/2

I just spent a truly ridiculous amount of time finding fragrance free hypoallergenic sunscreen that my ridiculous immune system will accept

So here's some brands that my body seems to tolerate for the #MCAS crowd

(With fair warning ofc that mast cell triggers vary A Lot between people)

#NEISvoid
I've got a lot of new followers, so fair warning I yell A Lot about my mast cells + mast cell disorders #MCAS

This may seem niche

But COVID infection can trigger mast cell dysfunction

So it is becoming more common, and there are not enough doctors who know how to recognize and manage it

If you’re struggling right now, please know you’re not alone.

Many of us are isolated due to chronic illness, disability and/or the general messiness of the world.

But we’re not alone. There’s someone somewhere struggling with the same loneliness, and I like to think we’re all separately together

confessed to my colleagues I didn’t start out funny, but when you’re the weird autistic kid you tell the truth in unexpected ways & that’s the same basic format as a joke, so at some point I just started confidently pretending I was doing it on purpose & confidence changes laughing AT to WITH
