International rules based order collapsing and its Macron giving a speech like this - inexplicably wearing sunglasses - that has truly sent me over the edge

Looks like we could be getting the first of the planned Downing Street press conferences tomorrow.

And the topic is a big one: Trump / Greenland / tariffs and the joint approach with allies.

This wasn't what the PM initially had planned for tomorrow - which was a speech about the cost of living.

JOY and CONNECTION 🙏🏻 ❤️ 👌🏻
Been thinking a lot about how we are talking about health and society so I wrote down some thoughts about what happens when self-care replaces collective care, and why joy, connection, and shared spaces are as essential to a nation’s wellbeing as any diet

THREAD.

3 years ago, with no warning, a brilliant orange farm cat wandered over from the draughty barn where he had been living, in rural Cornwall, and decided he wanted to live with us instead.

We decided to call him Jim.

This is the first photo I took of him, on that night: December 1st, 2022.

This explains so much.
People with psychopathic traits and low cognitive ability are over-represented in online political activity.
If someone is being cruel, obnoxious and ridiculous, don't try to reason with them. Chances are you won't get anywhere. Just block.

is there a known issue affecting some websites loading on Safari (iPhone) the past cpl of days?
I’m getting prompts to download aspx instead of getting to the page I need. Assumed it was a server issue at their end (worked on Android google chrome though)

I’m shocked to the core that the winner of the FIFA peace prize, no less, is any way involved 🤔
Every imperial power drums up paranoid fears to justify aggression and expansion. If one excuse looks too ridiculous to attempt, another will always be found.

in “further adventures of Dee (with added laryngitis)”, our bulk 32 pack of loo roll was due to be delivered by 10pm tmrw. We were scarily close to running out so off I popped & bought an emergency 4 pack - and whilst I was doing that, the 32 rolls were delivered to my doorstep a day early 🤦🏼

My Christmas gift - panto for FREE 🌟♥️🌟

10 yrs ago I made Panto! for BBCStoryville. A feature doc about an am-dram group staging a panto - Puss in Boots at the Nottingham Arts Theatre.

A tiny budget, a punishing schedule & a ramshackle donkey costume are just some of the challenges they face

what a beautiful day for our defrost drain line to freeze over on the frost free fridge-freezer 🫠
