Q3: I want to release Hot Wings and Sauciness and re-release Life in the ’Cosm and The Stealth Lovers with my new micropress. And celebrate my tenth anniversary of being a published author! #WeeknightWriters
Q3: Do you have any writing goals for 2026? If so, share them here! #WeeknightWriters

A2: My biggest victory was getting my reading ability back and being a judge for the book of the year for the Indieverse Awards! Also, in a tie with that was releasing my first short story collection and having a glowing review of it in the Seaboard Review of Books! #WeeknightWriters
Q2: What was your biggest victory last year? And yes, surviving counts #WeeknightWriters

Hiii! I’m Cait and I’m so close to tightening up my first draft of Hot Wings and Sauciness, the space opera romcom with the meet awkward of the 25th century!

My week is completely craptastic! But I’m glad to catch the second hour of #WeeknightWriters!
Hello #WeeknightWriters! Come on in, introduce yourself and your WIP, and let us know how your writing week is going (or not going, that's valid too)

It’s been a really emotional day, but one bright spot was that my new treadmill came in. No frills or anything. I just need something to help me move my leggies. Beside the treadmill is a gliding elliptical, which is really great for loosening my connective tissues. Fibro fitness is challenging.

Disabled and autistic author here.

I write my books using my meat brain. I don’t use generative AI.

I only use assistive tech like dictation or read aloud accessibility functions. They don’t make up content. They just put down what I say or read it back to me.

I’ve never had a book of mine posted about live as the reader was reading it!
Ok! Next in #BookSky #BookJoy I’m going to livepost this delightful looking collection by the lovely @caitgauthor.bsky.social - I am not nervous doing this because I adore and trust Cait as a writer.

Also picture taken earlier and I’m sure she’ll recognize hospital carpet. (I’m fine.)

My da is in the hospital awaiting an operation after being rushed to the ER. He’s still got that Irish optimism, so that’s good. But 2026 can already kiss my ass.

I’m a little blue. Very stressful family health stuff being stressful, and all of my Christmas decorations are down today. I miss my tree already. It helped.

I sorta like how my Rudolf has a sceptical/unimpressed expression. As if he’s thinking, “You want me to what after treating me like crap?”

And my snowman’s hat has little glitter flecks. #Crafts #PolymerClay

I found a moon cactus and a haworthia (zebra aloe) for the little pots Bruce bought me as stocking stuffers!

I played with clay! Their skin is actually a bright yellow-green in person, so maybe they’re alien Christmas elves? Would fit my brand as a spec fic author! Why can’t aliens make toys, right?

I once referred to a character as a wonton woman. To be fair, she was a little dumpling. 😳
What's a memorable typo you made (and hopefully caught before publishing)?

Six Super Cool Things That Happened in 2025!

This was a really rough year for me with family stuff. Still, glass-half-full type of person that I am, I wanted to reflect on six really awesome things that happened to me in 2025! #CanLit

I like to hope I’m an authors-author. Like, I love it when other authors succeed, and I love building community with other alphabet arrangers.

My house is beginning to smell like #Hogmanay! Steak pie filling is simmering on the stovetop. Later, Bruce will prepare the neeps and tatties.

THEN WE SHALL RELEASE THE CRANACHAN!!!

*laughs with wicked abandon*

(Yeah, I say that every year. Will happen again next year.)

2025 highlights, last day! Remember when I said I had a cool reading assignment? I couldn’t tell you what it was, but now I can! I was a judge for the 2025 Indieverse Awards Book of the Year panel! It was a great experience! And the winning book was well deserved! I highly recommend it!
