I played with clay! Their skin is actually a bright yellow-green in person, so maybe they’re alien Christmas elves? Would fit my brand as a spec fic author! Why can’t aliens make toys, right?

I once referred to a character as a wonton woman. To be fair, she was a little dumpling. 😳
What's a memorable typo you made (and hopefully caught before publishing)?

Six Super Cool Things That Happened in 2025!

This was a really rough year for me with family stuff. Still, glass-half-full type of person that I am, I wanted to reflect on six really awesome things that happened to me in 2025! #CanLit

I like to hope I’m an authors-author. Like, I love it when other authors succeed, and I love building community with other alphabet arrangers.

My house is beginning to smell like #Hogmanay! Steak pie filling is simmering on the stovetop. Later, Bruce will prepare the neeps and tatties.

THEN WE SHALL RELEASE THE CRANACHAN!!!

*laughs with wicked abandon*

(Yeah, I say that every year. Will happen again next year.)

2025 highlights, last day! Remember when I said I had a cool reading assignment? I couldn’t tell you what it was, but now I can! I was a judge for the 2025 Indieverse Awards Book of the Year panel! It was a great experience! And the winning book was well deserved! I highly recommend it!

My 2025 highlights, Day 5: Terry Pratchett once said, “Your first draft is just you telling yourself the story.” Well, I told myself the story of Hot Wings and Sauciness, my meet-awkward innnn spaaace, starring a disabled and ND and sweary heroine in her 50s! Can’t wait you to meet Colleen in 2026!

I don’t mind calling myself neurodivergent. I diverge all the time. Diverging is sort of my thing. So it makes sense that my brain wants to navigate life on a different path than the norm.

Every so often, I like to do a re-introduction. Hiya, my name is Cait (like 😺) Gordon. I’m an autistic, disabled, queer Irish and Canadian author. Some people gave me awards for arranging the alphabet, and that was cool.

I mostly write spec fic with heroes who are disabled and neurodivergent. 1/2

I’m posting this so that any of you who feel bad about your typos will feel a lot better about yourselves.

I was just pitching an idea to an editor about an article. Because of my disability, I use dictation software a lot. 1/2

My 2025 highlights, Day 4! I spoke with students at Trent University in a disabilities studies course taught by Dr. Derek Newman-Stille! Talia C. Johnson, my BFF and co-editor of the Nothing Without Us and Nothing Without Us Too anthologies, was a guest lecturer too! I had a total blast.
