I would like people to include alt text when they share abstracts (that way everyone can enjoy research). It is incredibly easy to add alt from a screenshot on your phone (and even easier on your desktop). People like me will also be more willing to reshare it.

Ernsthaft: Ich finde das ist eine Katastrophe. Begutachtung frisst Zeit und fühlt sich manchmal nicht wirklich honoriert an. Aber wir können das nicht einfach so aus der Hand geben. Wir entmündigen uns selbst.

ICE lied about the person it shot, claiming he was a "criminal," but NBC finds that he had no criminal history whatsoever. Not even traffic tickets in 12 years! It also lied about the extent of the injuries to its agents....

Today I wanted to go to work, but it has snowed Monday and Tuesday (when the institute was closed) and I wasn’t sure it would be safe. I slipped on frozen snow some years ago and hurt myself rather badly.
I will go tomorrow as today was sunny and any snow/ice should have been cleared.

It’s worth noting that this setting has to be set separately in the app and in a browser - I had already set it in the app on my phone but was still getting auto-plays on my iPad and laptop until I set it again in the browser.

Yeah that’s true and pretty depressing. Ideas come from exposure to interesting and diverse perspectives. that’s impossible if people chat in isolation with an unreliable and unoriginal machine.
