Democrats should vote against anything shy of abolishing ICE. Fuck this, and fuck any Democrat that fails to use this moment

You will lose your seat if you allow ICE to continue

Everybody has it backwards.

Billionaires aren’t buying up these institutions to make money. They’re buying them to kill them. Same as the oligarchs destroying government and social programs and things like weather forecasting and regulatory bodies.

They’re creating a world they control completely

We said it on Nov. 5. And we’ll say it again now. The data is pointing towards a potential huge 🌊 in 2026 midterm elections for pro-climate candidates. But these wins won’t happen on their own. That’s why we need to double down and help get pro-climate champions into office.
JUST IN: Democrats flip a red seat in the Texas Senate.

Taylor Rehmet wins against Leigh Wambsganss, a conservative activist who helped lead right-wing efforts to take over TX school boards.

With all early vote, and 95% of precincts, in, Dem up 57/43.

Trump won this seat by 17% in Tarrant County.

Just a reminder that the Boston Globe has seen fit to give Richard Hanania a monthly platform in the paper's opinion section
I think Hanania must just be an idiot? The climax of American Beauty is Lester realizing how bad it would be to act out his fantasies about his daughter's best friend. The movie is not about how cool it is for dads to bag high school girls. Also Kevin Spacey is a personally notorious kid toucher

New research finds negligible benefit from "minimum passing distance" laws requiring drivers to give cyclists space when overtaking them.

Protected bike lanes are far more effective.

Trump family businesses made $187 MILLION from this deal, and just months later he gave the UAE some of our most top-secret AI tech.

I received this tip on the records being grabbed on May 24, 2025.

On May 29, 2025 @marisakabas.bsky.social published this:

State Department set to launch ‘Office of Remigration’

The concept of remigration has explicitly neo-Nazi roots and has been popularized in Europe.

"Trump Says Kennedy Center Needs Renovation, Despite Recent $250M Renovation"
Breaking news: President Trump said that the Kennedy Center could temporarily close for roughly two years to undergo construction.

I'm repeating this. The whole fascist, corrupt, MAGA enterprise would grind to a halt if literally half a dozen Republicans in the House and Senate would find a backbone.
Remember, the Republicans in the House and Senate could stop this in a minute. Actually it would only take a few of them. But no, they're either all in or cowards.

Yet everyone bends to him due to his power over oil supply.

"where are the protests" is a reflection of how many people's sense of reality is intermediated by billionaire owned social media and billionaire owned news media, both of which have strategically suppressed cover of the scale and frequency of 2025 protests
The “Where are the protests?” lament after Trump’s inauguration was always based on a (willful) misperception. Over the past year, protests have been far more numerous, more geographically widespread, and more sustained than what we saw in 2017, for instance.

The rule of law completely abandoned. Untrained, masked agents get to determine your fate. As in one hundred other areas, Trump will likely lose this lawsuit, but remedies will take years. This agency needs to be stripped to the foundation, abolished, but first we need a public reckoning.
A Minnesota woman observing ICE agents in her car was cornered on one-way streets. An agent approached, called her by name—citing facial recognition. Days later, her Global Entry and TSA privileges were revoked, with no explanation.
