Ending this operation is not enough.

We need justice and accountability. That starts with independent investigations into the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, economic restitution for businesses impacted, abolishing ICE, and the impeachment of Kristi Noem.

This is what I call, in Holding It Together, the "myth of the supermom"—the idea that kids are under threat (eg, of not getting into "elite" colleges, and thus not having the "elite" life that goes with that), and that moms are the only ones who can save them, but only by sacrificing themselves.
Looking for an edge in college admissions? Just pull your kid from school. Homeschooling, long associated with hippies and religious conservatives in the U.S., is in the middle of a rebrand and a boom.

Promising to nationalize Space X the way Trump has taken government stakes in Intel is all upside & no downside.

At worst Congress gets scared and passes a law banning this kind of behavior - that's a win!

Thufir: My Duke Leto, the Harkonnens are testing laze guns right next to Arrakeen?

Leto: But that’s right next to the shield wall! That could explode half the city! All off planet spice shipping is completely halted.

Stilgar: they know we have miles of deep desert for weapons testing yes?

Too often when discussing trans rights, we’re forced to be on the defensive, as Republicans wage attacks.

Today, we take the opportunity to look forward by introducing my Trans Bill of Rights, a comprehensive vision to provide protections for all trans and nonbinary people.

The philosopher at Claude is getting dumped as soon as she interferes with profits. All the safety people are quitting or getting fired as profits go up.
OpenAI fired one of its top safety execs, on the grounds of sexual discrimination, after she voiced opposition to the controversial rollout of AI erotica in its ChatGPT product.

OpenAI told her the term was related to her sexual discrimination against a male colleague.

I remember someone saying “I have to care about judges now why should I have to care about some nobody judges. Vote against them.”

Also FDA, FAA, DHS,

No one expect policy wonks and insiders should know who these people are and the orgs should just work. One is failing weekly.

When you're mistaking quinceañera balloons for military grade cartel drones, it's probably a sign you should close the air space.

The level of sheer incompetence here is just mind-boggling. Testing weapons systems over or near populated areas, not coordinating with the FAA, none of that is remotely acceptable. White Sands is right there! Such a series of own goals with all of this!

Seems the Pentagon is testing anti-drone high-energy lasers near Fort Bliss in El Paso, and didn't feel this was dangerous enough to close airspace over.

The FAA administrator disagreed.

Last week, these lasers successfully protected the American people from a sinister children's party balloon.
Airspace closure followed spat over drone-related tests and party balloon shoot-down, sources say

They shot down an El Paso PARTY BALLON🎈???

With a new anti drone laser

And caused a major airspace miscommunication and closure because they had not informed the FAA properly?

This admin could have killed people waiting for rural medivac flights with this.

Im at lunch so, brief observations

1) Anything that "shoots down" a drone is classed as ordnance so its only DoD thats allowed to pull the trigger so its entirely on them.

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

The trick is if they can make doctors long term liable to malpractice they can kill almost ALL trans & transition surgeries, even for consenting adults with no regrets, because if one of your patients out of a hundred sues you big time 7 years later, you & insurance leave the entire business.
happening now: Detransition activist Soren Aldaco is asking the Texas Supreme Court to suspend the 2yr deadline for med malpractice cases when they involve gender-affirming care surgeries and a patient regrets them. oral arguments here: www.texasbarcle.com/new/TXSuprem...
