DUNE II - Reimagined
behance.net/gallery/1020...

Since we're talking popular work, then I must share my redesign from 2020 - a love letter to the world of #Dune and a seminal console RTS, dear to my heart

The Team:
Arvy - Project Lead, #UI
Bohdan Sereda - Composer, SFX
Marina Nechaeva - 3D Art
Finally trying Resident Evil 4 with HD Project installed and it's beautiful. Weirdly enough - a very cozy game for me, largely thanks to its environments, dense with lowpoly detail

HD Project feels like a restoration of a classic art piece - the original vision available in gorgeous clarity.

Here's a free little decal pack to kick off 2026. I love making little themed packs like this so there will definitely be more.

Following our game announcement, let's look back at the viral tweet that started it all.

Back in 2023, SeverLink was just an idea, born out of an aesthetic inspired by Y2K early 2000s games.

I'm so fucking sick of watching my friends lose their jobs so that a man-child CEO can do kickflips off of a dinosaur or whatever the fuck meta is spending billions of dollars on

1 billion would've kept all of these people employed and happy for a lifetime. they flushed 73 billion down the toilet

Remember the time Rockstar got £42 million in UK tax relief - the one that should support the production of "culturally British games" - while paying no corporate tax AND earning billions in profit?

Yeah.

On the cusp of the PSP's launch in North America in March 2005, OPMUS celebrated with a stylish and striking cover.

I'm more fond of my DSi, but Kit and I both have PSPs too, and it's always cool to carry around something that feels like a portable PS2.

On one of the game artists' portfolio website a "polygon count" window from 3ds Max is visible, so I assume that's what was used for the game
No description or process details sadly

There are also some concept art comparisons and wires for exteriors floating around online with no mention of the source of text at all, probably from an Eidos presskit as there's an article on Eurogamer that had image 1, might be worth plowing through those

Stunningly beautiful!

Just like my other genre favourite - Robin Hood: Legend of Sherwood.

I still don’t know how exactly Pyro or Spellbound actually made these gorgeous backgrounds. Like, I get that it’s 3D render to 2D overpaint, but in which software? How was it textured? How did they light it?

Quake Brutalist Jam 3 is breathtakingly gorgeous and cleverly constructed. Incredible work by the team and in my opinion - worthy of joining the modding pantheon with Arcane Dimensions

And it's free, you can go play a standalone version, even if you don't own Quake:

QBJ3 has a wild start map. Such intricate details and some lovely functional additions to Quake such as blanking out teleporters for maps you've played (useful when there are 70+ maps!) and each teleporter giving you a rough playtime estimate and difficulty rating.

Also, disabled access!
