Here's a thread I plan to update periodically with how to find somewhat popular games from the Y2K era that are unlisted.
No One Lives Forever 1, 2, and Contract J.A.C.K.
nolfrevival dot tk
Full games, compatibility with modern Windows built in, widescreen support, no-cd cracks applied.

I feel like there's some MGS stuff in here that I don't recall seeing before
I'm sure it's nothing new, but very cool regardless

Still need more baseball?
We found a CD in our archives containing dozens of unused voice lines from MLB Slugfest 20-03 rejected by the MLB. Here's some of our favorites.

This is a really wonderful thread, and I'll piggyback on this with my own BS:
When I was younger I mistakenly identified my self-loathing as edgy, attention-seeking self deprecation. I corrected for the attention-seeking part, prioritizing what, to my assumption, most negatively impacted others.

I'm not asking you to love yourself, but I'm encouraging you to consciously be kind to yourself, even if it's just "I don't like this about myself, but I bet I can change it."

After the AI bubble I hope the next bubble is Laser Tag. Laser tag arenas on every street corner. Blacklight lit battlefields propping up every sector of the economy. A one story building by the side of the highway called “Blast Zone: Pizza & Arcade” valued at $2.7 trillion

Command and Conquer: Renegade is a weird ol' game, that came out during a major time, and it's been lodged in my head and heart for a long time, so let's make sense of it together, yeah? Here's my long, weird love letter to it.

tv fuckin sucks now dude. Went to put on some spooky movies on a TV that we haven't used plex on in a couple months and this led to two updates, two enter-code-to-login processes, two password updates, and an updated terms & conditions agreement. I just want to watch my own damn movies ffs

Absolutely insane that people like the guy posting in the photos here are paid so, so much money to burn through employee livelihood and consumer sentiment just to come to the profound discovery that people like services that work well and are even just a little bit customer-friendly.
I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.

All right everyone, it's finally ALIVE!!
I've been dropping hints about the GIANT SECRET VIDEO PROJECT that I've been working on in the background for two years now. If you're willing & able to support this ridiculous project, existing videos, and plenty more to come, I'd sincerely appreciate it!!

So the Gaming Copilot beta in the Game Bar apparently defaults to on for model training.
Win+G to bring up Game Bar. Go to Gaming Copilot > Settings > Privacy in case you'd like to... review... that setting.

Just saw that it's New Vegas' 15th birthday, a game that's very likely my favorite of all time. This game came out during my most depressed period of my life, as I slowly realized but self-denied the extent to which my partner at the time was manipulating and gaslighting me.

Me when I
I loved the Skate Story demo. Something about the premise "you play a glass demon who skateboards on their journey to eat the moon" is such a perfect example of why video games fucking rule.
And shoutout to the music, which could have been very different, but makes the whole vibe even more unique.

Trying out some Next Fest demos, and the first one was Skate Story! This game jumps out in trailers due to the visuals, and I'm happy to say it's a blast to play. Zooming through the levels is a thrill, and even the most basic tricks feel impactful to land. Looking forward to the full release.

I haven't read this piece yet, but doc's recent FPS posting inspired me to retry Halo 3*, a game I really didn't like in 2007. It wasn't particularly clicking once again- until the Flood shows up, and then everything since has been very enjoyable so far

That's right. It's time for part 3 of the FPS series; this time, a lot of assorted thoughts on what makes for good enemy design. This one was fun as hell to write.
