oh this is such a cool solution-- designing the pause menu to provide a summary/cheatsheet for a game that is meant to feel intense, making it more accessible if cognitive overwhelm is a barrier to playing it.

Communicating with artists, the more polished your example sketch the more rigid and final your idea will seem. You don't want a detailed, rendered piece of artwork to explain a very open and flexible brief. Draw something rough or scribble on a photograph and trust them to do what they're good at
