My pitch for a Game of Thrones spinoff is the tragic rise and fall of the person making the giant outdoor banners with the various house insignias that hang on the exterior of the castles. They get an order for a hundred new ones only to have the ruler be killed as soon as they finish them.

I cowrote an essay in a book being published by an academic press that is coming out soon. I just got a mass mailer advertisement about a Christmas sale from that academic press. They added my name to their mailing list.

This reminds me of when Mayor Pete said that weapons of war should be used overseas but not at home. Our chickens always come home to roost. Violence here or overseas should be unacceptable and a tragedy.

This plus Trump's concerns about getting into Heaven make me think that Trump does actually want to do good things but is constantly letting the passions control him.

This matches the experiences in my own parish, lots of young men coming to services and talking about masculinity. Some do soften a bit when they get more involved in person but there's still plenty of Orthobros who are being influenced by online communities.

This matches the experiences in my own parish, lots of young men coming to services and talking about masculinity. Some do soften a bit when they get more involved in person but there's still plenty of Orthobros who are being influenced by online communities.

I grew up in a conservative evangelical home, I was told by my parents and the grownups in our church & homeschool circles that Jesus wanted us to feed the poor & needy. And that government shouldn't tell private companies how to run their businesses. Guess they were all lying about that.
The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

Growing up in the Air Force I just have to say that the Qatari training facility is not that big a deal. We have similar facilities for dozens of nations around the country. The main thing that is confusing is putting it in Idaho which doesn't prepare them weather wise for flying in the Gulf region.

I'm watching the new season of Critical Role and Brennan is a genius, funeral is my new favorite starting location for a campaign now. It brings a wide variety of people together, emotions are raw and on edge. Plus it makes the PCs think about what they still want to do with the life they have left.

To me there is no greater example of how capitalism works in this country than Weather Underground, a free* (some ads with an ad free subscription) weather app that is named after a Marxist Militant group that bombed government buildings & banks in the 70s. 1/2
