Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

I was firmly in the expand the courts group for a long time. Ive recently switched to the idea of senior status or sort of reduced roles for Judges past certain ages. Its also done in the lower courts below the supreme court and would not come with the legal battle to change the constitution.

This. I am done returning to the status quo of what got us here. I want universal healthcare. I want a maximum wage tied to the minimum wage. I want omnipresent, cheap public transit and walkable neighborhoods. I want Supreme Court and police reform, and I want the rich to pay their fair share.
We need to pick up this Overton Window and throw it as far as we can. Stop waiting for shit to “be popular” and start advocating for what is transparently right.

There are people out there who believe they are safe from ICE because they agree with them. They are in the "in" group so theyre safe. Just do what youre suppose to and youre safe right? The reality is, they would get shot too in the same situation. We need these people to wake up. This is murder.
