Completely fucked up society that a parent had a medical incident at my daughter's gymnastics class and I felt shitty and second guessed us calling an ambulance because of not knowing his insurance situation/how much it would cost/etc. Great times.

Fellow Indianapolis transit riders know - GenCon is an absolutely amazing week, even if you don't actively participate.
getting on public transit in a day you forget an anime convention is happening is a magical experience

I realise I'm just a freak, but living in a multicultural city is the best thing of all time, it's just the best possible human experience and i can not understand why anyone on earth would be like "weve got to destroy this"

I’ve started using the term “ethnic cleansing campaign” to describe the ICE occupation here in Minnesota. This is deliberate because the reality on the ground is that, at a given moment, any non-white person can be kidnapped by masked federal paramilitaries regardless of their constitutional rights.

Asking the ICE agent beating a guy up on the pavement to hold still so I can scan his QR code that he was required to wear instead of a badge that can simply be read
I am introducing the Quick Recognition (QR) Act, which requires ICE and CBP officers to wear uniforms featuring QR codes. When scanned, the code would generate a digital ID displaying the officer’s name, badge number, and law enforcement agency.

ICE should be unmasked both physically and digitally.

One thing I’d like to see is my senators and governor every day on tv at 5pm holding a press conference with video of every documented abuse that ICE is doing. Curate all of the witnessing we’re doing and show it to the press.
Local parents groups asking if adults can ride school buses to help protect children from ICE after a special ed bus got stopped this morning. Like a Dirty Harry movie except the villain in the federal government.

It’s a pet peeve of mine. But we don’t know what it would look like for national Dems to actually take up an activist idea like that and refine it into campaign messaging and policy. What we’ve seen is the results of them hiding from it and condemning it and letting republicans turn it into a cudgel

this is all it’s really about for them. Not domestic policy, not “economic anxiety”, just an endless desire to punish stand-ins for the Mommy who forced them take a bath, even if it tanks their own quality of life.

Of course they released this video.

1. They want it to instill fear in people that they could be shot next.
2. They believe there will be no consequences.
3. They're proud of brutalizing people that they don't see as their equals or even human.
4. Maybe to recuit other gun fetishizing sociopaths?

As someone who has multiple dangerous interactions with a car every time I ride my bike I have zero patience for this bullshit from JD Vance and Kristi Noem about the agent feeling threatened by a car turning around. The average bike commuter has more courage than trigger-happy Jonathan Ross.

"An analysis of footage from three camera angles shows that the motorist was driving away from—not toward—a federal officer when he opened fire."

Great video analysis of Minneapolis shooting from NYT. These frames show drawing of gun and exact moment of first shot.
