Antisemitism is criticism of the culture, identity, values, and traditions of the Jewish people, and opposition to their collective demands for self-determination, state formation, sovereignty, territory, and security. The criticism and opposition are in themselves legitimate.
Whether 'fascist' or not, this propaganda works because it appeals to people. This is the country that many Americans want. The people who make it also think that way.

We cannot dismiss it as manipulation, or blame AI.
As you may know, the US Department of Labor is posting White Christian Nationalist, fascist-style AI #slopaganda for months now. Or, as the Washington Post puts it: «The campaign has drawn scrutiny, with critics saying it is not realistically portraying the diversity of the country’s workforce …»
Labor Department social media campaign depicts a White male workforce
The campaign has drawn scrutiny, with critics saying it is not realistically portraying the country’s diversity and is sending messages that feel exclusionary.

Despite the name, the German "Antideutsche" are not anti-German, but xenophobic. Their logic...

Holocaust = bad
Holocaust = antisemitism
Antisemitism = bad
Migrant = antisemitic

therefore

Migrant = bad

therefore

native Germans = good.

Most European Jews see the State of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people, as its constitution asserts. Israeli Jews and Jews living in Europe are equally Jewish, and in that sense belong to the same category, regardless of what passports they hold.
Het is ongelofelijk dom en ongeïnformeerd dat mensen nog steeds joden en Israëliërs als dezelfde groep zien.

It is absurd to claim that the Jewish minorities in Europe have nothing to do with the Israeli government, which acts as their protector. This particular controversy arose because an IDF cantor was not welcome in Amsterdam: letters are in English.
De BM is het zat en reageert duidelijk naar de minister voor de Diaspora van Israël.

The American cemetery at Margraten was always intended to promote Atlanticism, and was always associated with the Dutch right, at least the mainstream right. (They probably never thought it would be targeted from the right.)
Two panels commemorating the contribution of Black American soldiers towards the liberation of the Netherlands in World War Two have been quietly removed from a cemetery in Limburg. It follows a complaint by right-wing think tank The Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission.

If the Netherlands was 'liberated', why have so many people suffered, in the decades after 1945? The US Army brought the Netherlands into the American sphere of influence, which is why Trump and his political allies have so much influence here.

If you are black, and you consider yourself British or German or Dutch or Irish, then you are deluding yourself. An ethnic nation chooses its members, and self-identification by a non-member cannot override their choice. We need to consider this, in the light of aggressive mass deportation plans.
November 4, 2025 at 2:34 PM
Political scientists and the media in western Europe need to understand, that ethnic nations such as Britain and Germany define their membership by descent, not citizenship. If you have a foreign grandparent, then you are not a full member of the nation, and for some, not a member at all.
Interesting unknown 2028-29 question is what level of racism on "deport 4th generation British citizens" for serious crimes (Lucy White) to "disenfranchise Kemi Badenoch" & bar her from running for PM (Ant Middleton) will or won't be a bar to being one of Reform’s 650 Parliamentary candidates
November 4, 2025 at 2:13 PM
If black people were truly ethnic British, they would be accepted as ethnic British by white British people. In reality, a substantial section of the population rejects their claim to be British entirely, just a section of the ethnic German population does not accept 'Black German' ethnicity.
This is a completely inaccurate claim: about 97% of people accept Black and Asian people born in Britain as being as British as other British citizens. Why would you generalise from a vocal racist minority online, in order to claim that an actual general social norm does not exist, when it does?
November 4, 2025 at 2:05 PM
In Britain, black people are not seen as 'equally British', even if born in Britain, because there is no consensus among white Britons that a black person is British. Self-identification is a pre-condition for any ethnic identity, but not a guarantee of acceptance.

The white British 'UK public' accepts people from ethnic minorities as fellow citizens, *if and only if* their presence benefits and pleases the native population. Acceptance of white British people is automatic, acceptance of others is conditional.
If you spend your life talking to grim bigots that might be the case. But overwhelmingly the UK public accepts people from ethnic minorities as fellow citizens. So you are utterly wrong.
November 3, 2025 at 2:30 PM
Black people are only British, if the white British core population accepts them as British. The evidence suggests that they don't.

This is standard ethnonationalism, and denying it won't make it go away. Nation-states are never inclusive, and we should not expect them to be.
We're now at "black people aren't British". Open sewer racism. Look forward to seeing him on QT again soon.

Yes, that it is exactly what it is about - an ethnonationalist restoration. That has been evident for years, but some people are reluctant to accept that.
His argument appears to entail the premise an ethnonationalist rejection of post-1948 ethnic diversity in principle, not an argument about immigration levels

German contra-antisemitism policy is so rigorous, that Jews are targeted if insufficiently pro-Israel. That should not blind us to the fact, that almost all European Jews unconditionally support Jewish territorial claims in Palestine, the root cause of the conflict.

Most political scientists ignore voters who are motivated by conspiracy theory, although they constitute a large section of the electorate - in some countries a majority.
Covid conspiracy stickers were plastered around London during the pandemic, but are now mostly gone. What does this tell us about the past and future of conspiracy theories in British politics?

The core argument, about ethnic diversity weakening social trust and unity, is accurate. The left needs to accept that, otherwise critique of the ideal is impossible. However, ethnic diversity does not prevent unionisation, because workplaces are often segregated, de facto.
When they say "difference divides people" like it's a fact, recognize it instead as an argument, which they are making because they are afraid of what would happen if people collaborated and showed solidarity across difference
JD Vance claims that diversity weakens unions, as people end up distrusting each other and not organizing.

Let me tell you two menswear stories related to this claim. 🧵

We don't have polling on these issues, because the poll companies avoid controversial questions. But certainly support (in western Europe) for a whites-only policy, and mass deportations, is well above 3%.
We don't have any polling on "would you like to deport 5% of the population?" or similar proposals as until recently it would not have occurred to a pollster that this was an idea anyone outside a far right rally would promote. But the 3% who back "no ILR for migrants ever" must be the ceiling.

However, the problem with these images is not just their genericness. It's the deeply populist idea that politics can be reduced to its immediately visible effects: politics is not judged by how it affects people's concrete daily lives, but rather by its aesthetics—by what image it produces

Deportations to increase cultural / ethnic homogeneity are also text-book nationalism. Democracy and the rule of law do not exclude such policies, nor will they protect minorities.
To be clear: deportations to increase cultural homogeneity is the text book definition of ethnic cleansing. Demands that come even close to this are so far outside any democratic norm and the rule of law. What has happened to a country when this is not condemned in the strongest possible terms?
