I've written as much about the events of 6 January 2021 as anyone in the BBC, and the Panorama error was easily avoided. However it's curious nobody noticed at the time - a year ago. Now top scalps have been claimed after a crusade by the British right-wing press.

As it turns out, people did not understand what mass deportations would look like.
Trump winning is the end. The courts and institutions can’t save us. It is crucial he loses. I don’t understand.

Do people not understand what mass deportations will look like. It will be sobbing mothers and children yanked apart from each other in front of you and your own kids.

Most political scientists ignore voters who are motivated by conspiracy theory, although they constitute a large section of the electorate - in some countries a majority.
Covid conspiracy stickers were plastered around London during the pandemic, but are now mostly gone. What does this tell us about the past and future of conspiracy theories in British politics?

I used to have a hobby: peeling conspiracy stickers off of lampposts. But you rarely seem them these days, because the people who put them up have much bigger things on their minds today.

Large sections of the American right think Britain is a crime-ridden hellhole overrun by criminal migrants and woke thought police.
The reality is, as you can imagine, different.
How did this strange narrative take hold?
Allow me to explain:
